*Synopsis*
Savannah Winslow, a seemingly perfect girl who seemed to have it all. But yet no one knew about the wars happening inside. No one knew that having a rich family doesn't mean being rich in happiness or having a happy family. No one knew that behind all the sassy facade, she was fed up of the drama that was her life. Yet she didn't give up. All she wanted was to get her scholarship to NYU and leave all the bad memories behind. No distractions. None at all.
Cue Damien Davey.
Damien had no idea whether he should have been happy or sad when his parents told him that they were moving to Madison, Wisconsin. He was happy to leave his dumpster of a life behind and start a new one, he wanted to end all the connections he had with the demons of his past life. He vowed to himself that he won't indulge in anything that might relate to his past. Albeit he was sad as he had to leave his childhood best friend, Alexander.
Since the moment they met he has been mesmerized by her. Her eyes, her intoxicating smell, the way she talked to him; all of that was different to him. Something new, something good. To him, there was something exotic about her that enticed him to her, made his nerves tingle with an unfamiliar passion. And the only thing he knew was to get to know her better. To possess that feeling. Even though it meant breaking one of his own promises.
And all she wanted was to not get herself entangled in a mess she was never fond of.
