I rolled my eyes, "You have been stuck there for an hour now. How many times am I gonna tell you that I don't know who it was or even if it actually happened?"
Now she rolled her eyes at me. "I'm definite about it happening. You are not going to imagine all the mushy-mushy stuff with some stranger, it's just not you." She made faces and moved her hands, trying to make an epiphany happen, I think.
To my right, Karen was trying to stifle a laugh.
"Har har. So funny, Karen", I gave her a deadpan look.
She quickly composed herself. "See, we all know it's true. You're not the kind of person who will hallucinate about kissing. You know that, I know that and she knows that. And as for who the guy might be, we could name all the guys who have blue eyes or something", she said matter-of-factly.
If you think about it, they're right. And so it means that the kiss did happen. Now the, no their, problem is finding who the guy is. I couldn't care less for it anyways but these two won't drop it. Yeah, sure you don't care about it. That's why you are thinking so much about him.
Sometimes I wish that there was a button for turning off my inner self.
"Oh! Oh! Oh!", Ivy started jumping in her seat excitedly. "I got it! I know few guys in our school who have those kind of features. Like Max, the footballer; Alvin from Maths Class; that geek in the Chemistry Class, what was his name again? Smic....? Oh yeah Simon; also Theo, the baseball player; and there's Declan, the charmer..... Ok. That's some of the guys I think match with the details you gave us. You know we should start writing it down and.."
"Stop!", finally getting my voice back. She was going on and on about something that I don't want any part of. At the beginning it was kind of funny to watch her rant but it was getting to my head now and it's nagging me a lot. "I'm least interested in knowing who it is. I don't give a damn about the guy. And please, both of you, drop it. It was just a stupid drunken kiss. No one is ever gonna talk about it again. Get it?", I said in a tone by which they know it's better not to mess with this.
They both sigh and nod their heads, visibly dejected. Out of the two, Ivy looks more affected than Karen.
I sigh, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rash. It's just.... I don't really care about it. It happened when I was drunk. I told you drinking isn't my thing, at all." I give them an apologetic smile and received reassuring smiles.
"So the point is... we should just forget it and think about how will we finish our homework", I lean back on the couch.
Their smiles vanished immediately and they groaned.
"I have to do Maths, Chemistry and History. And my body is hurting so much", Karen mumbles in a tired voice. She isn't really a fan of Chemistry, she finds Mr. Fernandis really annoying. She thinks he has a grudge on her, seeing that he gave her a little bit of extra homework.
"Same here. Oh my God! I haven't even started yet. I have tons of work to complete." Ivy groans loudly, clenching her eyes shut and rubbing her head.
I shake my head at them and smile. "Guess who completed at least ninety-five percent of homework?", I smile smugly at them.
Both of them give me a deadpan look. I chuckle knowing their thoughts. I know I do my work on time every single time but that doesn't mean I'm wrong in saying that everyone should finish their work beforehand.
