High School,
Worthington.
¤¤¤¤▪▪▪▪¤¤¤¤"God!!! Why oh why are you punishing me?", she groans. "I know I have done my own set of sins but this.... it's worse than hell. I have to endure Ms. There's-A-Stick-Up-My-Arse again for another couple of months." She addressed Ms. Moore as she often does.
I hear the sound of soft banging, against the locker. I mentally shook my head at Ivy's dramatic behavior with a soft smile on my lips, and continued with my work.
"She isn't that bad-", they snort at that, "- I know she can be annoying but she teaches well and.... oh heck with being good, she is the worst." I shut my locker and turn to look at them, laughing.
"If we're done with mocking the teachers, shall we go? We will be late. You're the one who frets the most about being on time, always", Karen teases with a smile, still chuckling in between.
"Oh yes yes. Ms. Goody-Two-Shoes needs to go to her favorite class. The most boring class to be exact", Ivy joins her with a teasing smile.
I shake my head at them. They have been at it since I announced my likeness towards Mr. Samuels, three years ago. "He is the best teacher I have ever had till now. If you were in his class-"
"Drool would be pooling on our tables while we slept like logs. Yes, I already know that", Ivy interrupted me with a smirk and nodded her head.
I gave them a deadpan look, "I'm not gonna argue with you guys. We will be late so-", on cue the bell rang signaling that there's 4 minutes till the classes start.
"I gotta get to my class. Ms. Angelina wants to set up our projects before the second bell. See you later", Ivy gave us quick hugs and rushed down the hall.
"See you in Chem", she slightly groaned. Probably thinking about how she has to face Mr. Fernandis' scowling face.
I smiled and hugged her, giving a peck on her cheek. "Catch you later."
We parted our ways, she went left disappearing right down the corridor. I turned right, and rushed towards the staircase. My class is on the first floor, a little far from the staircases but I still have time.
I took two steps at a time, humming a random tune. Surprisingly the corridors were deserted, there were no jocks or troublemakers. Maybe they thought being tardy on the first day won't look good or maybe they were just tired from yesterday's party (I, being smart, didn't go like I did last year.) and wanted to doze off in the class. I scoffed, the former was highly unlikely to happen, they wouldn't care about what the teachers think of them. So I will go with the latter, seeing that majority of the school had went there too, as usual.
I walked briskly down the corridor, I just had to take a right, walk a little more, take the third door on right and I would reach my English Literature class.
I still remember how last year, this day, I was out with my friends partying like old times. It was the night before the school reopened. I had a hunch that something was going to go wrong that night and I was proven right. Even though I was persistent about not going, Ivy being her made me grudgingly concede after nearly an hour of arguement. I can't forget the way he had smelled, the stench was so strong that it had made me nauseated. Zack, being the drunkard he is, had cornered me and had asked for forgiveness. I, just like before, didn't accept his apology..... the way he wanted. I don't get why he is so persistent about it. Couldn't he just leave me alone? I was ready to forget.... that he ever existed. And it's not like we can be back to what we were before, especially after what he did. Even though I'm not one to keep grudges I can't bring myself to forgive and forget.
