Birthday Shopping

Tonya awoken to the phone ringing. It was 9:30 am. She sat up and picked up the phone. "Hello," "Hey momma," said Jr.. "Hey baby, where's your granny and granddad?"Granny right here making breakfast and granddad still laying down," he replied. "Ok, where's Jason and Heaven?" She asked him. "They're sleeping mommy where's daddy?"Right here sleep". "I need to talk to him, Mommy. i gotta ask him some."Okay, hold on, baby," Tonya reached over to wake Demarr. "Yes, sweety," he awakes. "Your son wants you on the phone babe". Demarr sits up, and she hands him the phone and gets up. "Hello," said Demarr. "Hi, Daddy," Jr. replied. "Daddy, can you get me and Jason a bike for our birthday, please, Cause Granny got our helmets, knee, and elbow pads."Okay, we can go the day after yall birthday party." "Okay daddy". "Where's Heaven and Jason?" He asked Jr. "They're sleeping," Jr answers. "And granny right here making breakfast."Okay, sport, ima call you back later. I love you. Tell your brother and sister i love them too."I love you too, Daddy, and tell Mommy i love her too okay". "Okay, tell granny hi for me."Granny daddy said hi," he told her. "Hey hun," she replied. "Talk to you later, Jr." "Later daddy. " Demarr hangs up the phone he stretches and gets up. He goes into the bathroom. Tonya was in the shower. He uses the toilet and flushes it. "Your son wants a bike for his birthday, so ima get them both one the day after their party."Oh really?" she asks. "Yea," he replied as he washed his hands and face, then started brushing his teeth. Tonya turns off the water and walks out of the shower. She wraps herself in her towel and walks over to her sink, and brushes her teeth. "Ima call them later when Jason and Heaven wake up," said Demarr. Then he left the bathroom and went back in the room to lay back down. When Tonya was done, she went in the room to dress. "Ima go make breakfast hun". "Okay, babe," he replied. When Tonya was finished, she walked out of the room and headed downstairs. She started to prepare their meal she was making waffles, eggs, toast, sausages, and grits with peach tea and coffee. While cooking, she sits on the stool and goes on facebook to upload their pictures from yesterday. Then the doorbell rings. She gets up to go answer it. She looks out the window and sees Kandice. She opens the door. "Hey, Kandice, how you been girl"? They were both teachers at Moore's elementary they worked with k - third grade. "Hey, Tonya," she replied. "I been good and you"? "I'm fine, come on in," said Tonya. As Kandice walked in, Tonya closed the door. " I was just stopping by to see my friend. I miss you girl". "I miss you too," Tonya replied. "So you ready to get back to work?" She asked Tonya. "We have one more week til school starts back."Yes, i am," she replied. "I miss all my babies." Both of them walk to the kitchen. "I see you doing yo thang in here," she tells Tonya. "Yea its a everyday thing," She answers. "You hungry? you can have breakfast with me and Demarr if you like. "Girl, you ain't even gotta ask twice," said Kandice. "I got great news to tell you," she told Tonya. "Oh spill it, i love great news,"She replied. "Ok, first me and Mark is getting married, and i want you to be one of my brides maids."He proposed to me yesterday over a nice romantic dinner at home." Tonya screams, "Oh my god, yaaaaay girl, congrats, and im so happy for yall." She screamed so loud that she woke up, Demarr. He threw on his clothes and rushed downstairs. "What's wrong, babe?" He asks. "Oh baby, i didn't mean to wake you love, i was just excited about Kandice and Mark engagement," she laughs. He looks over at Kandice. "Hey, Kandice," he says. "Hey, Demarr," she replies back. "You scared the shit outta me, babe." he walks over to Tonya. "I know, baby. im sorry," she kisses him. "Breakfast smelling good hunny," he told her as he kissed her on the cheek. "Good," she said. "Cause breakfast is ready, have a seat, babe Kandice gone join us."So Kandice, what's the other good news?" She asked while she made their plates. "Okay, the other news is that im pregnant." Tonya screams again. And they both laugh. "Women, i swear," Demarr said and smiled. "Well, i wanted to know if you and Demarr would be the god parent's." He looked at Tonya. "Sure," they said. "So you know how many months you are and what you're having." Tonya asked. "Im five months," Kandice answered as she walked over to the sink and washed her hand. "I find out what im having next week. You can come with me if you want to." She tells Tonya. "Sure, you can count me in," She replied. They ate their breakfast, and then Demarr went upstairs to wash his hands. When he came out, he went into the room to get his phone. He saw that he had a missed call from Troy, so he called him back. Meanwhile, Tonya and Kandice had just finished cleaning the kitchen. "Im fina head out. I just wanted to let you know the good news. I'll let you know the date and time of my appointment too."Ok," said Tonya. "Im finna head home and go to sleep that breakfast got me tired," Kandice replied. "And thank you so much."No problem," said Tonya, "and thank you for letting us be the god's parents. I can't wait to find out what you're having and tell Mark, Congrats and thanks as well. " Tonya smiles, and they give each other a hug and walk to the door. Kandice heads out, and Tonya makes sure she gets in the car and pulls off safely, and she closes the door. She heads upstairs where Demarr is he was just getting off the phone with Troy and Curtis. While she texted Dana the time to meet up with her at the mall, she sat on the bed next to Demarr. "Baby, can you come to the mall with me?" she asked him. "I have to go get the boys outfits and a few more gifts."Sure babe, i'll go," he answers. Tonya put on her jogging pants and a fitted tee, and then she went back downstairs to put on her nikes that were in the closet. Demarr came down. "You ready babe"? he asked her. "Yes, sweetie," she answers. They left out the door and got in the car and drove off. While they were on Their way to the mall, Tonya called her mother. "Hey, momma, how are you today?" "Im good," she replied. "Is that my sweet baby girl?" her father calls out, and he walks over to Carol and grabs the phone. "Hey, Daddy."Hey sweetie, i love you." "I love you too daddy". he kisses carol as he hands her back the phone. "Im fina head out."Okay darling, love you."Love you too," he replied and left out the door. "Momma fina chill today and watch movies with my babies all day."Aw, okay," said Tonya. "Do daddy work today?" " Yea, you know that's all that man do he just left out."Sure do," Tonya said. "Well, i was calling cause i was on my way to the mall to do some shopping for the boys, i was tryna see what all you got them so i want to get the same thing."Demarr was getting their bikes cause Jr. said you already got their protective wear." "Yea, it was on sale," said her mother. I got them some clothes, a pair of jordans and a couple of games for their ps4 and a few toys, some cars and star wars action figures. "Okay, momma," Tonya replied. "Where my babies at?"They're sitting on the couch waiting on me so we can start our movie," Carol answers. "Can you put it on speaker? i miss my kiddies." Carol puts her phone on speaker. "Say hi to your momma," she tells them. "Hi, Mommy," they all say. "Where's daddy?" Heaven asks. "Right here driving, I'll put it on speaker." And she puts it on speaker. "Hey daddy"! They shouted. "We miss you."Hey, Daddy babies, i miss yall too."How is yall vacation with your grandparents?" he asked them. "Fun!" They shouted. "We fina relax and watch movies with granny," said Jr. "Yea, granny bought movies and popcorn," said Heaven. "I miss yall mommy and daddy,"said Jason. "We miss you too," said Demarr. "Are y'all ready for yall birthday party?" Said Tonya. "Yes, we are," they both said. "Mommy mommy mommy" said Jr.. "Yes, baby," she answered. "Daddy said he is getting us a bike the day after our birthday," he tells his mother. "I heard baby," she says. "Well, momma was just calling to check on yall and ask granny some things. i'm finna get off and put granny back on the phone. i love you all."We love you too, mommy," they said. Jr hands the phone to their grandmother. "Yes, sweetie," said Carol. "Im finna get off so we can head in this store tell daddy i love him, and i love you too momma". "Okay, sweetie, love you too. Talk to you later." They both hung up, and Demarr parked in the lot. They got out and walked toward the mall where they met Dana and Curtis. "So what we gone start with first"? asked Demarr. "I guess we can find they're outfits first then them a few toys, Cause momma got they Jordan's, some games for they ps4, she said she bought them cloths, and star wars action figures and some cars". "Yes ma'am To the clothing store we go," he said. As they shopped for the boys , while at Carols house, her and the kids had just finished watching home. "I have to go to the bathroom," said Jason as he hopped up and ran to the bathroom. Carol gets up to change the movie. "So what's the next movie?"I wanna watch inside out," said Heaven. "Inside out it is," her grandmother said as she put the movie in the dvd player. Jason comes back in the front and sits down. "Granny, im hungry," Jr. tells his grandmother. "Okay baby, granny gonna make yall sandwiches for lunch." And she walks into the kitchen to make their lunch. Back at the mall, Tonya and Demarr had just finished with their last little shopping for the boys. Dana and Curtis had done a little shopping for the boys as well. They left out the mall and headed to the car. Thank y'all so much for joining us at the mall and for the gifts for the boys. Tonya hugs Dana and Curtis as they put the bags in the trunk. Dana and Curtis walked to their car, and Tonya and Demarr got in the car, and Demarr started the car and drove off. "Ima drop you off at home, I  gotta make a run before to the store before we start dinner," said Demarr. "Okay, babe," she replied. She plugged her phone to the radio and turned on Pandora. When they arrived home, they took all the bags in the house, and Demarr left back out. He was going to pick up the gift that was ready for pick up for Tonya.
