It was obvious to him that he wasn't having an easy day, especially when he had to spend more time with Hwanhee. It's not that he doesn't like him, it's because he loves him so much that it starts to hurt. Every single second spend with him is painful, because all the younger wants to do is just grab his face and kiss him till he can't feel his own lips. But how could that be possible if the person he has a crush on was his own best friend?

Xiao found himself alone in the dorm he shared with Hwanhee as he reflected on his own feelings for his best friend. He was so preoccupied in his thoughts to the point where he didn't want to do anything but sit in the corner of the room and stare blankly into space.

All of a sudden, someone annoying burst into the room. He immediately rushed over to the where the draws and cupboards were located at the side of their room, throwing stuff behind him as he searched for something desperately.

"Speak of the devil," Xiao muttered under his breath. Unfortunately, he wasn't that quite.

Hwanhee turned around to find the source of the whisper and found Xiao huddled up into a ball with his arms hugging his knees, sitting in the corner with a lost-puppy face.

"Uh, Xiao? What are you doing there?" Hwanhee asked in a confused tone. He looked around the room and turned back to the sad-looking younger. "Out of all the places in this room, you chose to sit in that dusty corner."

And out of all the answers he could've chosen to reply with, he chose silence. After a few minutes of what seemed like frantic searching, Hwanhee's head popped out of the mess of clothes he was buried in. "Found it!" He exclaimed happily with a bright face. The younger couldn't help but look up and stare at the older's face. His face looked so happy, it was hard to not become infected with that smile, and so he found himself smiling widely as well.

"What did you find hyung?" Xiao asked as he finally got up. He walked over to the vocalist and put his chin on the older's shoulder. The latter froze in instinct, but somehow willed the strange feelings away, like he always did since they've met.

"Uh I-I was looking for those bright blue shorts with the banana print all over it I wore the other day." Hwanhee blabbered. Xiao tilted his head in confusion to face Hwanhee, his full, pink lips only a few centimetres away from the older's jaw.

As if to answer the younger's confused expression, Hwanhee continued, "I owed Kuhn a thousand won and my money was inside the pockets of these."

"Oh," Xiao said, but he wasn't really paying any attention. All he was thinking about was a plan to confess to this ratchet boy who he somehow fell in love with.

"Alrighty then. I'm going to go to Kuhn-hyung's dorm to give him back the money." Hwanhee turned his head to face Xiao, who still had his chin on his shoulder. "You can get your dirty chin off me now."

Xiao slowly came to his sense after Hwanhee's order, and held his chin up so that Hwanhee can move away.

There are many things he hate in this world. And one of them is not getting what he wants. The maknae suddenly realised how long he had been wanting to have his best friend as his own, and couldn't keep the feelings in any longer.

Without any second thoughts, Xiao suddenly took a hold of Hwanhee's wrists and pulled him closer vigorously, stopping him from exiting the room. To say that Xiao looked extremely handsome up close is indeed not a lie, but his eyes were a different shade though. From a closer distance, Hwanhee could see that his pupils were more dilated and darker than the usual bright shine. His once innocent and bright eyes shone in a new layer of emotion that Hwanhee couldn't recognise.
