*Chloe's POV*

'So where do you want to go?' Joey asked me.
'I've never been to LA so I'm relying on you to find places'
'Right then, to the juice bar we go!' He giggled

As we were driving along to Joey's favourite juice bar I remembered I needed to text my mam.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and started typing.
'Who you texting?' Joey asked.
'Oh just my mam, I said I'd text when I was here' I said smiling.
'Text your mam? Don't you mean mom? Wait British people say mum, I'm so confused right now Chloe!'
I laughed at Joey getting frustrated,
'Hahaha, I'm from the north east of England, we have different slang here so we say mam, not all British people talk like the queen Joey!'

'Oh yes they do' Joey replied in his grandfather voice laughing.

As we were driving along I looked out the window and realised how beautiful LA is; the beautiful blue sky, the palm trees, the golden beach...

*Joey's POV*

Chloe is so much better than I expected! I can see us getting along really well. As I'm driving I notice she's in a trance looking out the window.

'Chloe? You still there girl?' I asked her whilst laughing.

'Huh what yeah, I'm just looking at how beautiful LA is' she replied. I still can't get over her weird accent though, I've never heard anyone talk from Newcastle.

'Hey Chloe?'

'Yeah Joey what's up?' She questioned.

'This is going to sound weird but will you say grass?' I felt like such a weirdo asking her this stupid question but I am intrigued.

'Grass' She replied without hesitation.

'Woah you say that so weirdly! I thought British people pronounced the 'A' as 'AR' not 'a'' I may have gotten a bit too excited by this.

'Well I told you not all British people sound the same! Anyway you're the one who says it weirdly' she said playfully hitting me on the arm.

'Hey! I'm driving do you want me to crash? Hm thought not!' I said giggling. Wait what is happening here? Are we flirting? Joey stop being ridiculous you've known her a day. Feels like a lifetime though.

*Chloe's POV*

I could tell Joey was deep in thought... I just didn't know what about. All of a sudden he seemed to snap out of it

'Hey we're here!' He exclaimed as we pulled up outside the juice place.

One thing I noticed when I arrived in LA is everyone is so much healthier! There is juice bars and fruit places that smell and look so good, compared to where I'm from which smells like McDonalds and Greggs. Inside was so nice and colourful.

'So what do you want?' Joey asked me.

'What's good? We don't have many juice bars where I'm from'

''I'd recommend the mango and pomegranate, it's what I get' Joey replied whilst rummaging through his bag.

'Mango and pomegranate are my favourite fruits so perfect! What are you looking for?'

'We have even more in common' he said smiling.

'Ugh where is my camera I need to vlog!' I could tell he was getting slightly frustrated now, I always thought he might act a bit when he's on camera but he's exactly the same, the same laugh, the same smile, the same voice and the same slang, it makes me smile knowing he's as genuine as he seems.

'Here Joey you can borrow mine'

'Thanks girl!'

*Joey's POV*

'Hello everyone so I am here with the competition winner and my new best friend Chloe! I can't remember if I've already introduced you to her... Silly Joey, anyway we're getting juice then heading back to my place so Chloe can get settled in, see you guys later bye!' I stop the recording and hand Chloe back the camera, she is so lovely, snap out of it Joey!

We bought our juices, we both got mango and pomegranate, then I drove her back to the house.

*Chloe's POV*

Joey looked deep in thought again, what was he thinking of? As we pulled up to his house I was in shock, the houses in America are so big compared to England. Joey must have noticed my face and laughed at me.

'Hey I'm not used to his size of house OK! Stop laughing at me' I said pulling a puppy face.

'I can't help it it's like you're in Disneyland or something' Joey replied with a little giggle still in his voice.

I walked into his house and it looked so much bigger in person than on screen, it smelled of fresh fruit and grass. I wish England was more like this, I wish my house was more like this. I put my bags in the spare room then had a little nap, even though it was only morning, it's been a long day.
