06. Welcome to NYC

Gale's POV

I was on my flight to New York, when I remembered Cara's cold reply to my question. I felt hurt when she said that. I knew I broke the promise I made to her, but there was a reason behind it, behind everything I do after she left for New York, 10 years ago.

The plane ended and the first thing I did was find Cara. I took out her phone and unlocked it. I went to her contacts and found Abby's contact.

"Hello dear, why did you call?"

"Erm, Hello, Abby, this is Abby right?" I acted blur and said.

"Yes, why do you have Cara's phone?"

"I found it on the floor."

"Oh, I'm at The high line, you can meet me here to pass me the phone." She said kindly.

"Sure, I'll be there ."

-At The high line-

I saw Abby standing at the entrance of The high line.

"Hey, Abby, nice to meet you." I said smiling.

She turned around to face me, she has winkles around her eyes but she was beautiful compared to others her age.

"Oh, Gale. Its so nice to see you after so long. Cara is expecting you, she will be so happy when she sees you. She has been waiting for you for so long."

I smiled a fake smile and I think she didn't see through it because she smiled back.

"How about dinner tonight? At my place."

I nodded.

Cara's POV

I sat in front of my table and browsing the web. Even though I'm a celebrity, I like to see the daily gossips of other actors. I went into a celebrity gossip website and the first thing I saw was,

Whose this girl in Caleb Waters's car?

Was it Cara Hanson?

You got to be kidding me. Are you serious? How did they ever link me into this mess. Oh my ARGHHH.

I was so angry, I didn't hear the door open.

"Hey Cara, see who I brought home......Oh Cara what happened?"

I stopped throwing stuff around and looked around the house, it was a mess. a big one.

"Nothing much, I was just finding something" I said and smiled sweetly.

"So like I was saying, I brought someone home today and you would be very happy to see him." abby continued saying.

I nodded with a smile. That was when I saw Gale stepping into my house. My smile faded away and my eyes stared glaring.
