04. Heartbroken.

I hid in a pile of props. After a few seconds, I heard footsteps right in front of the pile of props I was hiding in. Suddenly my phone rang.

*is it too late now to say sorry......*

Holy shit you got to be kidding me, I threw my phone away from the pile of props im hiding in. As expected, Gale went to pick up the phone and he answered it. Oh god.

"Hello." He said, his voice is more deeper now.

-silence-

"Wait, this is Cara's phone?"

He hung up and grabbed the phone so tight, I was scared that my phone would crack into pieces. Damn. I need to change my phone.

"Hey, Gale you alright?" Gene said.

I legit wanted to slap her in the face.

He nodded and turned towards the pile of props that I was hiding in. I saw his face, it became more mature, more handsome then before. I wanted to step out of the pile of props. But, someone opened the doors of the hall and entered.

His head snapped to the direction of the sound and went out of the back stage to greet them.

Great.

I took the chance and stepped out of the pile of props. I stood behind the curtain and saw a bunch of people walking in. Gale was there waving and smiling to them. With my phone in his hand. I went down the stage as quietly as possible and went out of the hall. I went to the girl's rest room and stared into the mirror. After fixing my hair, I took out my sunglasses and wore them.

I opened the restroom door and headed out with my famous smile. I was an actress after all, so it was easy for me to act like I was happy.

I pushed opened the door and walked in with my head held high. Everyone's head turned. As expected, they didn't know I would come back, after what happened ten years ago. Well I wanted to make an entrance, I guess I did.

When everyone was staring, I took my sunglasses off and all of them cheered.

"Whoa, Cara Hanson is here!"

I saw Helena and waved at her. I walked towards her and I felt everyone's eyes following me.

"Hey, you made a grand entrance." Helena said.

I smiled and the guys around me became very excited. I smiled at them and they went wild. I saw Gale behind Helena and glanced at him. Gale saw my glance and step forward, but I took a step back and end up tripping on a wire.

Oh shit. I waited for the floor to hit me but it didn't. I opened my eyes and saw Gale holding me. Why does he end up holding girls.

I got out of his arms, thanked him and walked away.

"Hey Cara, my boss asked me to go to NYC to manage his company there. Should I go?" He ran after me and asked.

"Your choice." I replied coldly.

He even worked here, I thought he said he would go to New York after he graduate to find me.

I stared at his face for the last time to memorize it and walked away. Out of the hall and back home. I packed my luggage for the midnight flight back to New York.
