"You coming to get ready back in the dorm after? Or have you got Agriculture?" Shelby winked.
"I have to practice how to control my power with Ash. Apparently if it doesn't become controlled I could be dangerous." I grinned at the thought and Shelby rolled her eyes.
"Meet me back in the dorm after, I want to do your hair for the ball." She pushed herself away from the locker she was leaning on and waved me goodbye.
I sighed slowly putting my books in my locker hoping it would make the time I had to spend with Ash go by faster. He was the last person I wanted to see today and the first person I wanted to punch. Things were awkward since our dispute the other night.
"Ready?"
I jumped at the sound of his voice. I nodded and focused on making my feelings clear, that I did not want to talk to him. He walked off and I shoved everything into my locker and rushed behind him to catch up. He walked down a hallway I had not been down yet and opened a door revealing another door that had twirling steps spiraling up onto the next floor. I'm almost positive this room wasn't used for education purposes, more like Shadow purposes. Once we were at the top Ash opened the door allowing me to enter first. For a secret hidden room is was huge. This is where everyone must of practiced. Everything from fighting, to exercise, to their natural power.
I turned around to face Ash, who was staring at me from across the room. He was leaning against the door frame wearing a black leather jacket, it was almost impossible not to think about how sexy he looked in one of those. Focus on the subject at hand Arabella, I screamed to my inner thoughts. I realized that Ash was still staring at me, oh my..could he read my mind? I could feel the blush creeping its way towards my cheeks.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked staring at me with those eyes, those perfect grey orbs. I didn't answer I just looked at floor hoping we would move on and start what it was we were supposed to be doing.
"Can we just move this along I have things to be doing." My voice sounded more firm than I wanted it to. Ash nodded in response and he walked away from the door frame and then continued to walk towards me. I gulped I hated being near him he made me feel funny. I didn't like the lack of control I had around him recently.
"Not many Shadows have the natural power of fire. Its a sign of great strength but it's the toughest to control, especially because it's triggered with anger and other certain emotions."
I was confused. "What other emotion?"
"Lust." I looked up and caught Ash's eyes. I felt hot. I could feel it build up inside me and I had the sudden instinct to set something on fire. As soon as he looked away my thoughts became my own again and the fire inside me burned down.
"H-how do I-uh-control it?" I stuttered.
What the hell was wrong with me? I am not a little girly female. I should be demanding not asking.
"You have to calm yourself down. It's not easy but seeing as we are fire type Shadows there's more of a calm affect in our system. You just have to learn how to switch it on every time you get really mad...or you know." He winked and I rolled my eyes.
"So how do I turn this calm button on?"I asked.
He laughed. "Trust me when you're about to hurt someone you care about you'll automatically turn it on."
I nodded and then a sudden thought came to me.
"Who did you hurt that you cared about?" Ash looked away for a moment, before sighing heavily.
"I nearly killed my younger brother. That was my trigger, you just have to figure out yours and until then, everyone is a walking fire target to you. I can help show you how to use it better though." He smiled a genuine smile but I didn't return the gesture.
