Carefully ignoring the insanely happy girl, what was her name? Sheby...Shelby, I sit upright to find it's now morning and the sun is reflecting of every wall in the room! Well so much for sleeping in.
"Pssst!" I call to the sleeping girl.
A tiny blond head pops up and she stares up at me with confusion etched across her happy features.
"What time is class?" I try to be a little nice just so she'll answer the question.
"In about an hour." Her head hits the pillow but all too soon she leaps out of her bed and grips tightly onto her alarm clock.
"Wait! My alarm didn't go off! I have only one hour to get ready!" Her screeching causes me to block my ears, it is seriously too early for dramatics!
"That's plenty of time!" I growl in frustration but shes already drowning herself in the shower.
I slide out of the velvet bed and sink into the carpet. Grabbing my black skinny jeans and grey hoodie I find myself having extra time on my hands. I slip on my black converse and apply some make-up but only to my eye's as they are the feature that warn people to stay away. I let my curly black hair loose and try and act patient as I wait for Blondie.
"You ready?" I bellow towards the small girl.
"Almost!" The funny thing was when she said that she was in a towel and her hair was soaked causing a tiny little trail to follow her every step she took. She disappeared into the bathroom again and I started thinking about my current situation.
Maybe it might take a little effort to get myself outta here, but then again I liked that carpet I might just lay low for a couple of days.
The sound of a hair dryer causes me to regret stuffing fifty pillows into the closet cause I need them to block my hearing right now.
With just about ten minutes to go Shelby appears from the room looking pretty good. Her hair is perfect I was almost envious of how sleek and shiny it was. I couldn't say the same about the clothes though, they were too pink and short for me.
"Ready?" She asked softly and I just nodded mutely.
Trudging through the long corridor I began to feel a slight pang of nerves. This place was pretty high standards. I wonder what they would think of me? I wipe that thought straight out of my head because I know it doesn't matter, this is only temporary.
"I'll take you to the office if you like?" Shelby asks.
Although I just nod I am truly grateful she's helping me out. I would only run out the nearest door if I got the chance.

The office was bigger than my house...well, you know, last foster home. It had it's own waiting room and more offices to one side. It was almost like a bank but it smelled like fresh flowers. It felt like I was outside in the warm breeze.
Shelby pushed me towards the counter and I was about to tell her don't ever touch me again until a rather plump woman beamed at me. It was pretty creepy.
"You're the new girl!" I watched her cheery face and found myself slightly frowning in confusion at the woman.
"Here is your timetable Arabella, anything you need you come see me." She waved a finger at me and I stared at Shelby to explain why this woman was acting so weird but Shelby just shrugged. I grabbed my timetable and I was just about to leave when I came across something I doubt you would ever see in schools.
"What's that?" I point at the green eyed hissing cat.
"A cat." Shelby stated as if I were dumb.
