20: Wait And See

I called up Martinez and Dario to meet at Starbucks. Time to tell them my plan.

"Okay, so what your telling me is your under cover as a Scorpian gang mate to find out info about Antonio?" Asked Dario in a serious tone. I shrunk in my chair until I heard him say,

"That's brilliant!" And held out his fist to pump.

"I have to say that is quite a smart idea but how did you do it? You should've came to us." Said Martinez.

"I still have the tattoo sense my kidnapping so I used that showing I was a pet of there gang and I was just quiet. I am a fighter. I made a friend with a girl named Lowey. She told me she wishes she could throw the boss on his ass. Maybe I should tell her who I am?" I asked.

"No way. Not yet. Not until your actually 100% sure. Got it?" Dario said.

"Yes I got it. There's something else though. Something good and bad." I said nervously.

It's time to tell them.

"You okay? You look a bit pail?" Asked Martinez.

"I'm fine. Just..don't get mad. Okay?"

"We promise." Said Dario. He looked to Martinezl for agreement and he nodded his head.

I breathed out shakily and start to speak.

"Well, about a week before Antonio was taken me and him did it.. For the first time. And well it just so happens, I'm pregnant." I said.

"Woah. A lot of info to take in, in a few minutes." Dario said.

"Wow that's. I tell you me and Antonio are having a baby and that's all you have to say."

Dario started chuckling and I looked over to Martinez who looked to be in shock.

"You alright?" I asked.

He pounded the table with his fist making me and Dario jump.

"Am I alright?! Tell me I'm alright when you get knocked up by my gangster brother while he's kidnapped so you go and fight with a fucking baby inside you!" He screamed.

My eyes got cloudy with tears. Then I exploded.

"Well neither of us would be in this fucked yo situation if it weren't for you! Your got him into this!" I screamed back.

Dario just walked awkwardly.

"Well if it weren't for my father I wouldn't have had to be there anyways!" At the end of his sentence Martinez broke down on me.

"I'm so sorry Iris. This is all my fault." He said and cried. Dario stood up and hugged us both.

"This is no ones fault except Leo's. So we're going to find him. Iris, just be careful with the baby inside you. And sence they will start noticing the bump soon you have id say about a month to find out everything about where Antonio is."

"Yes I know. I got to go to bed but I'll see you guys tomorrow ok?"

"Kay. Be careful lady. Goodnight." Dario said while him and Martinez left.

They payed for our coffee and I got up and left as well. I want to finish this in less then a month. I want to do it now.

"So what do ya wanna do?" Asked Lowey.

"Let's work on defence." I said. I haven't learned any defence at all. Ever. And that is the most important to me I need to protect my stomach.

"Let go." She said.

As we used he punching machines that threw at us I didn't get hit once.

"So have you heard anything else about the Fire gang?" I asked casually.

"Yeah didn't ya? Everyone talkin about it! They got the poor guy locked up at our gangs big building down town New York City. I betcha there at least a hundred guys walking over that place!" She said intensely.

Good to know. Scorpions building in down town NYC with over a hundred guys. I guess I won't have to fight after all. I'm done!

I want to help Lowey though. I believe she really hates this place and I want to get her out.

"Well you know what Lowey? I have a good feeling he'll get out. And so will you." I said proudly.

"How do you suspect that?" She asked.

"Leave that, to me." I said with a smirk. I winked as I walked out of the training arena. She smirked back and mouthed,

"What are you up to?"

And I mouthed back, "Wait and see."

She excitedly jumped and began training again. I walked to the office.

"Is like to recline." I said to the guy sitting in the seat at the desk.

"What for?" He asked.

I don't know what got into me but I will regret this.

"Wait and see." I said cockily.

"It's you. Iris Cooper!" He spat with venom.

I ran out of the room and watched as the guy came charging after. I pushed the door full force and it hit his face. He fell the the floor with blood dripping from his nose.

"What the hell is goin on here!" Some guy yelled.

"Shit." I said and bolted.

The guy went to the intercom and called,

"Block all exits, I repeat, block all exits. Iris Cooper has entered the building." What an idiot.

I ran past the arena and caught Lowey staring at me with a smile. She gave me a thumbs up and I have one back.

I'll be coming back for her.

I ran to the nearest window and smashed it. I hopped out and jumped down. I was only one story high.

I ran down the street to Antonio's motor bike and rode straight to Dario's house. He immediately called Martinez and the gang.

Time to go save my bad boy.
