Be Careful Out There

Chapter 7

"So was it a beta or alpha that bit me?" I ask Scott at his house, hours and hours after the hospital. He's explained almost everything to me about werewolves, and I've questioned all of it.

"That's the thing, I don't know. It was probably a beta, because its eyes were yellow, but it was too strong to be a beta."

"It was too strong? Did you fight it?"

"I tried to."

"Did he hurt you?" I ask concerned. Isaac walks into the room and I put my head down quickly.

"Is she..?" I hear Isaac ask.

"Yep. Got bit at the school yesterday." Scott answers.

"How did she get bit? Was it the thing that killed Harris?" Scott nods his head.

"She risked her life for Stiles, but she doesn't remember it."

"Why the hell did you let her go with you? How could you let her risk her life? By that little mistake you made ruined everything for her." I raise my head and look at Isaac. He's concerned for my safety? Maybe Scott wasn't lying...

"Isaac, how could you tell that I was a..." I ask, trailing off.

"I can feel it. Plus you have a scent... If that doesn't sound too weird." He could feel it? Maybe it's like how I felt something around him and Scott that I couldn't figure out.

"What are you even doing here?"

"I live here."

"...oh no." Scott whispers.

"What?" I ask.

"The full moon is tomorrow."

"It's not just a myth? When the werewolf changes at the full moon?"

"Ty... We know how to control it. It's you that's going to change."

"You're going to shred everything and anything to pieces." Isaac says.

"Well, you guys are wolves... You can stop me easily... Right?" I question.

"You're a wolf too. You're stronger, faster, and more deadly. Especially during the full moon." Scott replies.

"But you guys can turn and be just as strong." Isaac sighs, sits down right beside me, and sets his hand on my thigh. I get chills.

"Ty, you don't understand how dangerous you will be. We've dealt with this before. We can control it because we've been one for awhile now." He says.

"Then teach me how to control it!" I exclaim. He starts to raise his voice.

"It's not that easy! We have to find some way to restrain you or else you'll kill people and if people die, it's all your fault Scott!" Isaac yells as he punches the wall. I hear Isaacs heart beat a mile a minute. Scott's just stays the same. I calmly stand up, walk over to Isaac, and rest my hand on his cheek just to calm him down. That's what my mom would do when I would lose my temper.

"Don't worry, if I kill anyone, I'll make sure it's Scott." I joke. Isaac laughs and I hear his heart beat to a normal pace.
