"Ty, just remember, if you get angry, try to think of something that brings you back to reality. Something that slows your heart beat. That's your anchor." Scott tells me as I exit his room.

"Anchor. I'll remember that. Do you know if they're opening the school back up tomorrow?" I reply.

"Yeah, they are."

"I'll see you guys tomorrow then." I wave goodbye and head downstairs. "Bye, Mrs. Mcall."

"Bye, Tyler! It was nice meeting you!" She replies.

"You too." As I walk home, Scott's words run through my mind. 'Youre a wolf too. You're stronger, faster, and more deadly.' Luckily, I haven't turned yet. The only thing that had my heart racing was Isaac. If I'm fast, lets see how soon I get home. I start to jog, then run, then I eventually start sprinting, and before I know it, I'm home. I honestly don't know whether to be frightened or excited to be a werewolf. AND, I can't tell if this going to be a curse.... Or a gift. I walk into my house.

"Hey, sweetheart." My dad greets. "Where've you been?"

"Scott's." I answer.

"Oh... Do you two have a thing?"

"No, Dad, were just friends. When did you get home?"

"Around 20 minutes ago." And then suddenly, I feel something. I feel betrayed. Lied to. I dont know idea why though... I have honestly no idea what's going on in my mind. Maybe I just need some rest. I've had a rough couple of days. Rest may help it.

I wake up the next morning. Late. Of course. School started 20 minutes ago and Mr. Harris is going to give me detention because I'm late. Wait... Mr. Harris is dead. That's right. I jump out of bed and quickly put a plain white shirt with a grey sweater and skinny jeans on. After, I faster than ever put my makeup on neatly. Forget breakfast. I brush my teeth and grab my car keys. 'Maybe the new chemistry teacher will be nice. Kinder.' I tell myself on the way to school. Once I make it to the parking lot, I rush to chemistry and find my seat next to Isaac.

"Where were you?" He whispers.

"I woke up late." I answer, just as quiet. I look up to the new teacher. His bald head reflects light and his plump body makes it a little hard for him to move around quickly. He looks at his clipboard.

"Ms... Rose? Why are you late?" He asks loudly.

"I didn't wake up in time." I mumble.

"What was that?" He says in a smart-aleck tone.

"I didn't wake up in time." I almost yell. I'm not in the mood for anyone's crap.

"You didn't just talk back to me, did you, Ms. Rose?"

"No, sir."

"It's Mr. Green. Not 'Sir Green'. What century are we living in? The 1600s?" The class laughs.

"Sorry Mr. Green." I say with gritted teeth.

"Good. I'm just glad you learned some manners from your mom." He chuckles. My anger slowly starts rising.

"My mother is dead." My teeth are still gritted. He thinks for a minute.

"Is your dad David Rose?" He asks in realization.

"Yes."

"Oh my goodness. How odd. Your little whore of a mother cheated on me in college with your dad. He isn't too bright of a guy either." He continues to laugh. I stand up.

"Well you sure are bright with that bald head of yours reflecting the whole sun. Don't ever disrespect my parents." My voice starts raising.

"Don't disrespect me." He says, getting up in my face.

"If you disrespect both me and my parents, I honestly don't give two shits if I disrespect you!" I yell. I get so angry, I can even hear my own heart beating.

"Go to the principals office, now!" Mr. Green shouts.

"Ty," I hear Isaac whisper. I look down at him and he glances at my hands. I see claws come from them, but they quickly disappear at the soothing sound of Isaacs voice. I look back up at Mr. Green, then grab my bag and leave the room, wiping a tear off my cheek. Claws. did that just really happen? I feel so.. Embarrassed. Having to yell like that in front of Scott, Stiles, AND Isaac. I usually wouldnt act like that. And then just the sound of Isaacs voice calms me down. What is happening?

I sit at the principals office for quite a long time. He finally lets me in and I sit in the big, black, leather chair. He clasps his hands together.

"So, Ms. Rose. Mr. Green tells me that you were very tardy, and you yelled at him in the middle of class." Mr. Hayden says.

"Yes." I confirm. Denying it would just cause trouble.

"Why did you do that?" I stay silent for a moment.

"He called my mom a whore and disrespected my parents."

"What else did he say?"

"He said my mom cheated on him with my dad and that my father wasn't 'bright'."

"And what did you say?"

"That he was bright with his bald head reflecting the sun." I say truthfully. Mr. Hayden just laughs and leans forward in his desk.

"Look, Tyler you're not in trouble. I know you've had a hard couple of days. Just because justice needs to be served, I have to ask you to stay after school for an hour of detention. It won't go in your record."

"It's not with Mr. Green, is it?"

"Oh, no, of course not. With the English teacher, Ms. Blake." I give a sigh of relief.
