Family Resemblance

Snow sighed as she trudged through the trees looking for any signs of human life. She felt like she could burst into tears the farther they walked with no proof her daughter was actually here.

"Where are we even going?" Snow asked her voice sounding bitter and hard despite her trying really hard not to. Hook turned though nothing but sympathy in his eyes.
"Don't worry love we're simply heading to the highest peak of Neverland to see if we can spot any signs of life." He informed her kindly and Snow nodded as she hiked up her bow and trudged after the group once they started up again.

"Don't worry Snow we'll find her." Regina whispered startling Snow who studied her stepmother curiously.
"Thank-you." She managed weakly as she averted her gaze from her stepmother's.

Regina nodded thoughtfully then trudged ahead of Snow, as if silently giving her some space.

Emma froze as she spotted the gigantic rock bulging from the water. Well to anyone else looking, it looked like a rock, but Emma and her companions knew better.
"Guys I'm going to go in, just check the place out,you wait here." She instructed but she wasn't all too surprised when they both immediately protested.
"No way Emma we're not letting you go in there alone this Rose lady could be dangerous!" Baelfire exclaimed, worry clearly showing through and Emma rolled her eyes.

"Clearly she's not otherwise she would've escaped already! Also if I don't come out in ten minutes, then you can come in after me." Emma bargained and they both hesitated slightly then sighed heavily.
"Alright Em we'll wait, but when the ten minutes is up were coming in after you!" Zero promised her and Emma rolled her eyes but smiled as she took a deep breath then plundged underwater.

Everything was blurry and hard to see but Emma managed to see the blurry outline of the rock up ahead. She looked up and surged forward willing herself to reach the hole in the rock(boulder). She felt like she would burst if she remained another second but she finally burst through the whole gasphing and sputtering for breath.

She used her last bit of energy to pull herself up onto the rocky ground.
"Hello?" A soft voice called out making Emma sit up straight looking around the dark damp cave. Slowly she stood using the wall for support as she made her way to the other side of the rather small cave.

"Who's there?" The voice asked again sounding frantic and finally Emma answered back
"Don't be afraid my name is Emma, I'm not here to hurt you." She greeted as she moved around the cave.
"Emma? What a beautiful name, mine is Rose Red but you can call me just Rose." The voice answered softly and Emma smiled softly.

"Thank-you yours is pretty too. Where are you though?" Emma asked softly when she came to a dead end.
"Pan used a cloaking spell, I can see you though." The voice whispered and Emma turned towards the wall and ran her hands along it. She gasphed when she felt bars.
"Can you guide me to the lock?" Emma asked and she heard a soft chuckle.
"You remind me of my younger sister. But the lock is a little to your left." She told her softly and Emma nodded as she began to feel around a little to her left.

"Am I close?" Emma asked and she again heard soft laughter.
"No sorry here let me see if I can put my hand through the bars." She whispered and Emma almost pulled away when she felt a hand on hers.

"This sucks I wish I could just see you!" Emma complained and there was a bright flash and Emma gasphed when she saw a woman leaning against the bars.
She had dark brown-ish red colored hair and green eyes the same shade as her mother's and herself.

She had a friendly kindness sort of familiar ness from her. It made Emma feel safe.
"Did you do that?" Emma asked fearfully and Rose shook her head.
"No I'm afraid it was all you kid." She whispered smiling slyly and Emma frowned.
"I have magic?" And Rose shrugged.

"I don't know I've only just met you." She whispered gently and Emma smiled as she began picking the lock.
" so how long have you been stuck here?" Emma asked finally and Rose smiled sadly.
"I'd say about eleven years or so. I don't really know, its been awhile." She explained then Emma grinned when she heard a click.

"Okay km letting you out now, you're not a villan are you?" Emma asked hesitantly and Rose shook her head sadly as she wiped tears from her eyes.
"No kid I'm not. My sister I was just thinking of her. She was just like you full of ambition and so smart I had to leave her though when she was only nine." She whispered forlornly and Emma nodded as she opened the door and side stepped.

"Do you want to come with me? Well us me and my friends would love to have you come along." Emma begged and Rose smiled.
"You know what Emma I'd love to."
