Peter stumbled along with his sister through the dark forest. His heart thudding loudly in his chest. Raven would stop every so often and let him rest a couple minutes, but to him it felt like merely seconds.
"Raven ?" He asked finally, the question that was burning into his brain just couldn't wait another moment. His sister turned a kind smile on her face.

"What is it Peter?" She asked softly as she pulled her bow back up across her chest.
"How come you can't come with me?" His voice sounding small and broken. Raven stopped dead in her tracks making Peter almost run into her.

She sighed softly and sniffed wiping away a couple tears as placed a smile on her face.
"You know what Peter we'll see. okay?" She manage, but Peter couldn't help but think something was wrong. He nodded anyway though as he took his sister's warm hand in his. He wouldn't question it again if that's what his sister wanted. He'd do anything for his sister. She was his only true family he had.

Raven swiftly pulled Peter up a path leading to a old barn. It was dark and infested with tangled vines and shrubbery, but they managed finally reaching the barn.
Swiftly she knocked three times then kicked it once. Her brother shot her a strange look but she merely smiled reassuringly at him. Then the barn door opened swiftly and someone grabbed Raven's arm yanking them inside quickly with one movement.

The door shut behind them and Peter could see a young girl standing by a couple lanters. Her hair was Sandy blonde and shoulder length. She seemed friendly enough though to Peter as he grinned from his spot at his sister's side.

Raven knelt down next to him forcing him a smile. As she ran her hand through his hair.
"Peter why don't you go take a nap while I talk to Kat here?" She whispered firmly and Peter nodded stifling a yawn as he waved to Kat who smiled at him then curled up on a stack of hay eyes fluttering shut almost immediately.

Kat frowned before she turned looking at Raven sadly.
"You still planning on going through ogre territory?" She asked gruffly and Raven nodded looking at her brother.
"Yeah, which is why I need your help Kat." She managed and Kat frowned.

"I don't know if I'm going to like this Raven." She grumbled then waved her hand gesturing for her to continue. Raven smiled throwing her arms around her friend.
"Thank-you Kat I knew I could count on you!" Raven whispered gratefully and Kat chuckled pulling back.

"Whoah I haven't agreed to anything yet." She teased and Raven grinned.
"No but I know that you will." She whispered and Kat laughed softly shaking her head.
"Well see now spill! What're you planning?"

Raven smiled as she sighed softly, taking a deep breath she managed.
"I want you to come with Peter and I, and while I fight off the ogres you make sure he gets to the place I intended him to go." She finished quietly and Kat frowned thoughtfully.

" okay I'll come but as a last resort if we don't need you to risk your life then you continue on with us! " she told her friend firmly and Raven grinned.
"Oh thank you Kat I knew I could count on you!!" She yelled happily and kat rolled her eyes laughing slightly.

"Yeah I'm just a big pushover aren't I ?" She joked shaking her head.
"No you're my friend." Raven whispered with conviction.

Peter smiled at Kat as they walked along the path in early morning. Raven was slightly ahead eyes scanning the area and ears perked for any sounds of danger. Peter grabbed her hand smiling brightly as he walked.
