Chapter 4

On the way to the mall

"So Ana what made you have the urge to finally get a job?"she asked

"Man Katie you're making it sound like I'm some 30 year old who just got off the couch to find a job." I joked

"Well I was just asking haha but really"

"Well my 16 is coming up and I really need to earn the money for it since my parents can't afford all of it." I explain

"Ahh I see but you could always ask me my parents are usually busy just worrying about making money and stuff so ....." She spoke *i could just see the sadness in her eyes as she told me*

"Katie I wouldn't be able to just imagine that I mean it'd be easier but I'm not much of a taker thank you though."

I slowly stopped my board and picked it up I looked up and down at the mall the place where I spend now being where I earn . Ahhh hopefully it'll be a good start . We started walking in and just looked at each other.....

We walked straight to forever 21 what could I say it's one of my favorite stores !

"Looks like they're offering two jobs you thinking what I'm thinking?" We both had that smirk on our faces .

We walked up to the counter and spoke to the cashier.

"Hi uhm " I squinted to read her name tag. "Samantha I'm Ana and this is Katie and we are interested in applying for a job here."

"Well we don't usually give these jobs out to the youth because we are looking for more experienced workers but footlocker has some offerings if you'd like to go and check it out."

"Aww well thank you anyway." We turned and left the store .

"Ugh my favorite store and can't even get a job there !" I said

"Ana it's fine we'll keep looking I mean she did say try footlocker ." She smiled with a slight bit of hope

" yeah let's go and check it out ,"

We walked in and found the manager Chris .

"Hi Chris we'd like to apply for any openings that you may have." Katie said with her soft voice

"Uhm yeah we have a couple jobs like stocking and cashier if you're interested ?"

"Chris we'd take any job we can get and when would be able to start?" I asked eagerly

"Haha well here are the applications and if you enter them by the end of the day you'll be able to start tomorrow at 6:45am just to be able to learn your jobs."

"Thank you Chris! We will be back in awhile ." We both said

"Good , can't wait to have you ladies on Board."

As soon as we walked out the store we passed by a familiar face.........
