Recap:
"What's your name lovely?"
"Ash."
Her friend smiled brightly. "I'm ......."
"Scarlett?" Braxton interrupted.
Jason's POV
Ash and I both turned towards Braxton, whose eyes held something underneath them.
Braxton—He cut the mind-link
"Scarlett." He said looking directly at Ash's friend.
For a second I saw her gulp before she quickly recovered.
"Sorry, I think you have me confused with someone else. My name is Jenna." She laughed.
"Jenna?" He said skeptically, like he didn't believe her.
"Yeah, is something wrong with the name Jenna?" she glared back.
The more I looked at Scarlett/Jenna the more I noticed something was off. She couldn't be.
"Ashley, I have to go to the restroom, come with me?" She made it a statement rather than a question.
Ash looked back and forth between Scarlett/Jenna and Braxton before she pull her hands away from me.
What the heck, I want her hands back on me my wolf shouted.
"I'll be right back," she said sweetly.
"I'll get us a drink beautiful. Meet me over there," I pointed to our private VIP section, "when you're done. I'll have your drink waiting."
"Thanks," she said swaying her hips walking towards Scarlett/Jenna who was basically staring daggers into Braxton. Before she laced her arms with Ashley's to drag her to the restroom presumably.
I let them get a good distance away before I pushed into Braxton's mind.
Brax!
"I heard you the first time Jace," he said still keeping his eye on Ash's friend.
"Then answer me next time. What the hell was that?" I said as I nodded for him to head back with me to our VIP section.
"A girl I knew," Braxton said, with a stoned face.
"Well obviously you're mistaken, you didn't even know the girls name."
"I KNOW HER DAMN NAME JACE!" Braxton yelled.
I rarely ever pulled Alpha on my three, and have only done it to Braxton a handful of times. This, was one of those times.
"Don't forget yourself Brax," I let my Alpha come out enough to put him in his place.
He growled irritated.
