"So what are you?" The other guy spoke up.

I looked at him confused, but before I could reply Jace had us going toward the entrance.

I looked up at him but he spoke before I could. "Braxton's back with your friend."

"How do you know?"

"I just do. Now let's get you and your friend out of here." He gently placed his hand on my back and ushered me out the club toward a limo. Inside the limo was an unconscious Jenna laid over Braxton's lap.

I instinctively went to touch her, when a shock with throughout my body rendering me unless, until I blacked out.

Ashley's POV

Nothingness, that's what I feel at the moment. There was no pain, but there's also no sense of anything right now. It's like I'm in a void.

Ashley

I hear a voice calling my name.

Ashley

Within the darkness, I look for the person whose calling my name.

Ashley

"Who is it?" I ask. I turn around but am blinded by a bright light.

Ashley

I can't see, but I can still hear the voice. It sounds so familiar but I can't place it.

I know that voice.

Ashley...

Finally the light dims, and when I open my eyes it's the last person I expected to see.

"Dad?" I say.

Ashley. Ashley look me darling.

But he's not talking to me. Well, at least he's not talking to me, me. He talking to 9yr old me. I remember this conversation because it's the last one I ever had with my dad before he died and mom remarried.

Ashley look me darling.

Younger me, gazes in to her father's eyes as she lays down her journal on the bed.

"What is the matter little one, you haven't come to my office for a visit today?"

"Nothing Dad, I'm happy."

"You're happy, and just who has help put that smile on your face?"

She contemplated telling her father not wanting him to be mad. "Walter Vaughn saw my scar on my hip and made fun me. He made me cry, but before I could run off Jenna punch him in his face daddy. (She laughs) She's my new best friend, nobody messes with me anymore now. I know fighting is bad, but he's not a nice person."

"I glad you have Jenna to watch out for you. Make sure to keep her close. And as for that boy, I can't say I'm I blame your friend for defending you, but do try not to make it a habit. Use your word my dear, you have no idea how uniquely special you are and how you tend to compel people to do as you say. But Ashley, I want you to be careful to keep your scar covered." He said with a serious face.
