After a quick breakfast, Ashley looked up.

"Go ahead," I said I know you have questions. I'll answer what I can but I'm afraid most of your questions will have to be answered by your friend here."

Jenna rolled her eyes shooting daggers at me.

"Why was Jenna unconscious when I found her, what happened after I ran, why did I faint when I touched her, what the hell is a mate and why did you call me yours?"

Well damn.

"Well I guess I'll take the first part." Braxton said. Though I'm sure he did that to try and help a clearly frustrated Jenna as she placed her head on the table annoyed with this conversation.

Braxton's POV

I watched as Scarlett grew extraordinarily frustrated with Ashley not listening to her. I knew her and she was ready to bolt and drag Ashley out of here. Unfortunately for her Jace would never allow that.

Jace on the other hand was keeping his façade up. Though he looked extremely calm on the outside I knew he was anything but that. He wanted to know Scarlett's secrets as much as I did.

Now Ashley was another matter. She didn't try to hide her annoyance with not knowing what was going on. Though unknowingly the human stood in the room with three supernaturals not showing an ounce of fear. Most humans generally get the vibes and at least feel somewhat out of place but not her. She was annoyed but not rattled. And sometimes that's a dangerous combination; not knowing how a person will respond.

"Go ahead," Jace said "I know you have questions. I'll answer what I can but I'm afraid most of your questions will have to be answered by your friend here."

Jenna rolled her eyes shooting daggers at Jace. If looks could kill, she'd have him hanging by her feet while she beat him to death.

Damn I don't think she knows how sexy she is right now.

The human, Jace's mate Ashley, waited no time in asking her questions. "Why was Jenna unconscious when I found her in the limo, what happened after I ran, why did I faint when I touched her, what the hell is a mate and why did you call me yours?"

While I knew she wanted answer I really didn't expect her to ask all of that. I know she must be thoroughly confused right now.

Though I knew Jace could probably answer some of the questions, I knew Scarlett was having a harder time right now. Why, what was she hiding? Deciding I'd have to corner her later and get those answers.

"Well I guess I'll take the first part." I said. Ashley looked at my curiously while a clearly frustrated Jenna as she placed her head on the table and looked annoyed with this conversation.

Before I could began answering Ashley's questions, Scarlett's head lifted up from the table and her eyes seemed to glass over a second before her phone rang. She looked towards Ashley briefly and then me before walking away to answer her call.

Jace decided that he'd had enough of not knowing what was going on and got up as well and mind-linked me.

"Hey where are you going?" Ashley asked.

"I'll only be a second beautiful. Braxton why don't you answer those questions for her and well catch back up with you."

Brax answer her questions. But and kept the supernatural information to as little as possible until I can talk to her.
