( Niall's POV )
Here I am, sitting alone on a beach bench staring at the beautiful waters. I can't believe it has already been two days. Time flies so fast when you're having fun. Cliche. This is our last night at this paradise. I don't want to go. I don't want this to end. It seems that this 2-day break has given me the chance to love and be loved by someone so sweet and gentle. Almost feels like I have found the lost part of me. All this time, I have been waiting for someone to come along. Have I really found her? Could she be the one?
"Who?" a familiar voice asked. I didn't need to turn around and see who he was, "Harry, did I just say that out loud?" "Ermm-- yes. Why? Is there a problem, mate?" he tapped my left shoulder and joined me on the bench. "Nothing." I just shrugged. I didn't want to bother him with my thoughts. "Niall, you're one of my best friends ever. I know you very well." he said. "Believe me, it's nothing." I told him reassuringly. He just stared into the darkness, not saying any word at all. After a little while he spoke again. "I see the way you look at her." My eyes widened. "Hu-huh?" "I see the way you look at Jordy, Niall. You don't have to pretend like you don't have a thing for her. I know. Everybody does." he turned to face me and he chuckled. I blushed. "Am I that obvious?" I asked almost shyly. "Well--" I cut him off. "Agggh! I probably look like an idiot in front of you guys when she's around." I covered my face. He laughed. "Niall, you're always like that when you really like the girl. And we haven't seen you like that for quite a while. To be honest, we're really happy to see that side of you again." he said reassuringly. "Oh, ermm, be right back." he instantly added.
I thought about what he said. It really has been quite a while now. I have never felt anything like this in a while. No, scratch that. I have never felt anything like this ever. I don't know how she does it but she makes my knees weak. When she smiles, I smile. And-- "Hey, Niall. May I join you?" a sweet voice asked. "Hey Jordy, sure you can." I replied. "Harry told me you'd be here." I should've known. That cheeky devil. Wait, did she just walk in the middle of the night to find me? "Why? Can I help you with something? What's up?" I asked her, smiling. "Uhh-- no-nothing." she said, smiling sheepishly. I chuckled. "You're so cute, babe." Holy! Did I just say that out loud?! Way to go Niall! I cleared my throat. She forced a laugh, I can tell. And after that she just sat on the sand. I followed.
We both stared into the dazzling moon light. So beautiful. But I wasn't really focused on that. My eyes were glued at this lovely girl beside me. Her beautiful brown hair tossing in the cold breeze. Her rich brown eyes fixed at the wonderful view in front of us. Her lips looked so pale, so gentle. Seems like they long for a kiss. I shook my head. Snap out of it, Niall. Before things go out of hand, I looked back at the moon shining down through the waters.
I heard a sweet chuckle. "Why?" I asked Jordy. "Why were you staring at me? Is there something on my face i--" she asked curiously, touching her face here and there. "Oh no, you're beautiful." Damn it! Really, Niall? This is the second time you make things awkward for the both of you tonight. I sheepishly smiled though. "T-thanks." she stuttered. I smiled warmly at her and she smiled back. Her eyes filled with joy. I stared right into them. A wild rush ran through my whole body. She stared back. Her eyes roaming around my face. I can't stand her! She's like a drug I needed to take!
I feel myself move closer to her. Closer and closer until my face was just an inch or two away from her face. She didn't move. She was standing still, eyes widened. I can feel her breathe heavily. Even that was so cute. I moved closer. A breath escaped from her lips causing them to slighly move apart. A perfect position for a kiss. She closed her eyes slowly. I closed mine. I gently closed the distance between our lips. "Shit!"
