Chapter 2: Flick of the wrist

Superdrug. Say those words and I'm running for the hills. Yet that is where I end up all afternoon when I'm supposed to be watching Liverpool v Man City on my comfy couch with my Dad and my brother Jason at home.

"No!"

"YES!"

"You can't make me."

"OH YES I CAN!"

"But I'll DIE!"

"If you do at least you'll look presentable." This my friends is my MOTHER.

"Even if there was a gathering of the hottest men in the world there, I will never go....there." Nothing in this world will make me go to Superdrug willingly or unwillingly. Then she said this,

"I'm calling Samantha." Uh Oh. That girl is the equivalent to Barbie without the plastic and has a butt load of sass added with super strength. I race upstairs and dodge my delinquent brother. Then just as I'm about to enter into my room my dad stops me asking,

"Are we home or away?" I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I quickly answer his question and enter my room locking the door behind me and with closed eyes, I take a deep breath of success.  Then I hear this.

"HONEY IM HOOOOOOME!" My eyes snap open and frantically search my room only to do a double take as my eyes land on Sam who was currently checking her fake nails. I love my best friend and all but she can scare the devil out of hell.

"How did you get in my room?"

"The window, you left it open." I cursed under my breath.

"How did you get here so quickly?" I ask wondering how she can get to my room before me in my own house.

"Well, it went a bit like this. While I was about to finally beat level 40 in candy crush soda your mum called and said one word. Superdrug." I gulped.

"So I said I'll be there and rushed out of my house, which is across the street, Climbed up the ladder and entered your room." She finished as I sat there in defeat.

"Oh, I guess th- WAIT! WHAT LADDER!" I gasped in horror and ran to my window. Sticking my head out and began my search for the ladder just thinking of a number of times I could have escaped the house after being grounded.

Her eyebrows raised in shock and her blue eyes full of question," Really you didn't know?!" My own eyebrows went up.

"Know what..." I ask hesitantly. It was her turn to gulp.

"W-well... the thing is..." I nodded to prompt her on,

"Icomeherewheni'mlonelyandsneakinthroughyourwindowsoIcaneatsomemidnightsnackswithoutgettingcaughtbymymum!" I slowly took in what she said and replied,

"Huh?" She took a deep breath in and repeated what she had said slower this time.

"I come here when I'm lonely and sneak through your window so I can eat some Midnight snacks without getting caught by my mum!" I blink once, twice then three times.

"WHAT!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!! YOU WERE THE ONE WHO STOLE MY MALTESERS! WOOOOOOOW!!!! SOME FRIEND YOU ARE!!!!" But what I don't understand is how she snuck in without waking me up...but then again I sleep like a rock. Sam, on the other hand, was calming herself down and looking up and mumbled some prayers to the Big Guy Upstairs. After pulling herself together she looked back at me wearing a guilty look and went on her knees. I just rolled my eyes. The drama queen.
