Chapter 4 - Lily
I ran back downstairs to get some food before dinner was over, and accidentally bumped into Fred. "Oops, sorry 'bout that Freddie," I said. "No problem Rosie! What're you doing here?" he replied. "Well, I'm kinda hungry, so I went to get some food," I told him. "I have the PERFECT place to go for that," he said, then winked.
"Whoa! This is EPIC!" I said, then turned to Fred. "I know right? The house-elves are always giving us food!" I turned around to see several house-elves shoving food into our hands. "Here you go, Mister and Miss! We make very good food, always! We hope you like it!" the house elves sang. "Well, I guess we should be going now," I said. I gave the house-elves a quick 'Thank you', patted one on the head, then left.
All of a sudden, my owl appeared on a windowsill. I pulled the letter off of her, gave her some owl treats that I found in my robe, and sent her off. "I wonder what it says," I wondered. "Well, open it then!" Fred urged. It was from my mother! I opened it, and it read;
Dear Rosie,
How are you liking Hogwarts? We miss you very much. And, we have wonderful news for you! Do you remember your younger sister Lily that went missing all of those years ago? We've found her! Your grandfather saw her mindlessly roaming the streets in Diagon Ally. She looks so much different, but Granddad knew straight away that it was her! If you remember her age, you'd know that she's 11 now, and has just received her Hogwarts letter! Isn't that grand? Although, she IS a bit shaken up from being gone for 5 years. Me and your father have decided not to let her go to Hogwarts this year, but she'll be attending next year. Also, she has the spare room that is next to yours. Your dad is painting it purple, so we've decided to paint yours too! Just tell us the colours you want, and we can take down your posters, paint it, then put them back up! Oh, and we heard about you being a Metamorphmagus. Congrats!
Love, Mum and Dad...and Lily too. xxoo
"They've found Lily!" I exclaimed. "Lily? You never told us you had a little sister," Fred said, eyes jokingly narrowed. "Well, it's because I thought we'd never see her again," I admitted. "Well, yes, I suppose that WOULD be a good reason..." he said. "So, how did she go missing?" he asked. "It's a long story," I replied. "We have time," he said.
"Well, it happened 5 years ago, when I was eight. We were all walking along in Hogsmeade, having a grand old time. I had Lily on my back, and we were going into Honeydukes. 'Mum, Dad, I'll be right back,' Lily said, then she wondered into some other aisle. I wondered around too, until I heard Mum call that we were leaving. Lily, being the prankster that she was, sent a copy of herself out with us because she wanted to stay. So, we wandered around the rest of the day, with the Lily-copy. When we got home, Mum asked what we wanted for dinner. I said, 'Spaghetti!, but Lily-copy said nothing, obviously, because it was just a copy. My Mum asked again, this time, specifically to Lily. Nothing, again. Mum then got kinda scared, so she clapped really loud in front her face. The loud noise caused the Lily-copy to disentagrate. Mum started freaking out, and Apparated to Hogmeade. She searched everywhere, but we couldn't find her. So, we searched a couple more months, but she was nowhere to be found.
"Three years ago, we moved into a new house. One with three bedrooms. We always said that it was just a spare room, but we all knew it was for Lily if she ever returned. At the time, we didn't have much money, so we didn't paint the rooms. Mine is still a light blue. But NOW, I can get it painted red and gold, just for Gryffindor!" I said, never once leaving my eyes from Fred's. As soon as I finished, Fred kissed me. I was kinda nervous at first, but then I realized what was happening. The guy I love is kissing me! So, I went along with it, our lips moving in syncronization. (A/N: I'm sorry that I dunno how to spell syncronization. xD) It lasted about 10 seconds, then he pulled away. I giggled. "Why'd you do that?" I said, still smiling. "Couldn't think of anything to say, and it just kinda seemed the right time," He shrugged. I laughed. "What's so funny?" he asked. "Nothing, I've just been waiting three years for you to do that," I replied. "Oh...well I think we should head up to the common room now, I think everyone would be quite intrigued by that story," he said. "Okay, Freddie," I replied, smirked, gave him a peck on the lips, then we walked back up to the common room, hand in hand.
A/N: So, that was basically a filler chapter, because I have MAJOR writers block. Like, MAJOR. Anyways, Lily's gonna have a little bit of a bigger part later in th story, because I have a PLAN for the small child >:) LOL. Kay, peace out!<3
