Zane x Reader

   "Aphmau.. You really need to calm down." You giggle at her meltdown. "HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BE CALM?! (Y/N) LISTEN TO ME! You are my lovely little sister... I love you you know... How could you do this to me? We could have found another way to negotiate with Zane and O'khasis. Don't you love Levin? Malachi? Don't you know they'll miss you even if you won't miss them?" Aphmau says to you, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Aphmau.." You hug her, "I love you too but what if we couldn't find another way to negotiate? Then Zane would have waged war on Phoenix drop which we are most certainly not prepared for. You want what is best for Levin and Malachi correct? We would have to send them away... We would lose our chance to see them grow up... So please, just allow me to do this for you. I will marry Zane Ro'meave as a sign of peace between Phoenix drop and O'khasis." You tell her, letting go of her hand and placing her flower crown back upon her head. She sighs and looks down. "Ok... Take today to say goodbye to.. Everyone... I'm sure this will be difficult on Levin and Malachi.. Laurance, Garroth, and Dante as well... Everyone really.." She trails off. "I'm sorry Aphmau.. I know it will be the most difficult on you but... We both know it's in Phoenix Drop's best interest." You tell her. "...I know... Go.." She says, unable to look at you anymore. "Ok.." You say and walk out of the house. Levin and Malachi were playing in the little playground made for them. "Levin..? Malachi..? May I.. Speak with you for a moment..?" You say sadly. "Auntie (Y/n)! Auntie (Y/n)!" Levin yells happily, running towards you and tackling you in a hug. Malachi soon joins in the hug, it was nice being able to hug him once he became a human boy again. "Auntie? Are you ok? You seem stressed." Malachi asks you. "Well Malachi... I.. Am... You see.." "Auntie?" Malachi says, confused. "I'm going to be leaving.." You manage to say. "What?!" Malachi says, take aback. "Please Malachi. Understand that I'm doing this because it's what's best for yours and Levin's future." He starts to cry. "Malachi.." You hug him tight and wipe the tears from his cheeks. "I'm sorry I have to leave.. I promise I'll visit.. Ok?" Malachi looks up at you with teary eyes. "Ok..." He hugs you tight and goes back to Levin. You get up and leave to the town. "Oh! (Y/n)-Chan! Kawaii Chan-! What's wrong?" You look at her sadly. "I'm leaving Kawaii Chan." You tell her. "Like.. On a trip..?" She asks hoping this will be your answer. "No... You see... I am to Marry... The High priest Zane." You explain to her. "ZANE?!" Kawaii Chan shrieks. "NOOOOO!" She cries and hugs you. "Oh (Y/n) Chan! Why?!" "Kawaii Chan you know of the current conflict between O'khasis and Phoenix drop..." You take her small hands into yours. "This is the only way..." She sniffles. "...I... I understand..." You smile at her and give her another tight hug. "Stay Kawaii Kawaii Chan." You give her a bright smile and walk off. You look down at the ground and watch as your dress moves from in front of you to trail behind you. "Lady (Y/n)! May I talk to you?" You turn around to find the source of the voice. "Garroth, of course what is it?" "It's Zane! He's at our gates! He's demanding to see you, claiming you are his bride!" He explains to you. Not flinching or showing any emotion, "Return to the gates and tell him I will go to O'khasis with him tomorrow." "Wait... What?!" Garroth seemed so confused. "I am to Marry Zane... To stop the conflict with Phoenix drop.." You tell him. "B-" "You are to obey my order to tell Zane. Is this clear Garroth?" You look at him sternly. "Yes.. I... I am... Sorry..." He says. You step towards him and lift up his head then hugging him tightly. "Garroth, I know we were not the best of friends ever since I have been here, but I wish you the best and I will miss you." You pull away and look at him. "I wish you the best of luck with Aphmau." You smile at him. He gives you a chuckle and a smile and goes to give Zane the news. You walk to the guard tower and enter to see Laurance and Dante at the bottom floor, talking. "Lady (Y/n)! Hello!" Dante says, straightening up. "Sup (Y/n)?" Laurance says very chill. "Hello Laurance, Dante." You smile at them. "What's up?" Laurance asks. "Well.." Your expression drops. "I came here to bid you both farewell." You say. "What?!" They say, startled. "I am leaving to be betrothed to the High Priest Zane." You explain. "N-No! You- I don't! No!" Laurance stutters. "I understand that this may not be a good thing for you (Y/n)... But I respect you for your decision to sacrifice your happiness for our safety." Dante says. "Thank you Dante..." You say. "But-!" Laurance starts, "Laurance... There's nothing you can do or say to change my mind Laurance... I'm sorry." You walk up to him and hug him. "You are my best friend and I will miss you dearly..."  You then walk up to Dante and hug him, whispering in his ear. "Take care of Laurance for me.. Please..." You pull away and smile at him. You kiss Dante on the forehead then walk over and kiss Laurance on the Forehead. "Goodbye." You then walk off. You walk to the front gates to see Garroth arguing with Zane. "I want my bride today." Zane says, "SHE HAS TOLD YOU TO RETURN TOMORROW!" Garroth yells back. You walk up to Garroth. "I'll take this from here Garroth, go to Aphmau and comfort her for me please." You kiss him on the forehead. "Farewell.." You say as he leaves. "Ah... My lovely bride." Zane says, "Finally, you will come with me today, correct?" "Raise the gates Brian." Brian does as he's told. You walk up to Zane and give him a smile. "Correct. However, May I quickly retrieve my possessions?" You ask. "Why of course." He responds. "Thank you." You retrieve your items and go with Zane to O'khasis. As you enter the castle you look over at Zane and smile. "You know I hate you. Right?" "Well, if you do th-" You cut him off by kissing him. "But I can't get enough of you.." He smiles back at you, wrapping his arms around your waist. "I chose the right one to marry.." He cooes.
