ED'S POV:

I stand outside of the fairly large studio that Taylor said she was going to be at. It took me some intense debating with myself before I decided I was actually going to come here. Looking around I open the door and step into the nice air conditioned building.

I look around the nice room that had many connecting hallways. My eyes wondered around until I was interrupted by a cheerful female voice.

"May I help you," A somewhat short women at a large desk talks to me.

"Oh," I walk towards the desk.  "I was invited here to meet taylor swift. My name's Ed Sheeran," I pulled down at the sleeves of my long-sleeve shirt. It was something I did when I was nervous or uncomfortable. A bad habit of mine.

"Oh, Ed Sheeran!" She exclaimed.  "Taylor's been excited to meet you," the women smiles at me and walks out from behind her desk.

"Please follow me," she leads me through a series of hallways and to a red door.

"She's in here," the women opens the door for me.

"Thank you I smile slightly and walk in. I knew this is going to be awkward considering I don't know anyone. I think about turning back, but I've already stepped in to the room. A guy at one of the recording machines waves me over.

"Take a seat," he points to a stool next to him.

"Welcome Ed Sheeran!" He exclaims somewhat excited and fist bumps me. It was a little strange. I mean I'm not that cool or great of a person.

"Taylor's just finishing up here," he points to taylor as she sings.

This is the state of grace

This is the worthwhile fight

  Love is a ruthless game

unless you play it good and right.

She finishes singing and a slight giggle escapes her mouth. I smile a bit, as her and her band high five and congratulate each other. The people around me clap so I do too.

Since they're done using the studio for today Everyone helps clean up a bit. Except for me. I honestly did not know what to do. Luckily a few of Taylor's band members introduced themselves, and talked to me as they saw me sitting there awkwardly.

Finally Taylor walks into the room. Her guitar hanging at her side.

The room was a relatively happy room to start, but when she walked in it became a little cozier, a little warmer, and a little more happy.

I watched her talk to different people in the now somewhat crowded room, when she turned and caught my eye.

"Ed Sheeran!" She exclaimed happily walking towards me.

I stand up, smiling, extending my hand for her to shake it. Instead she folds her arms around me in a cozy welcoming hug. I'm a little shocked but my arms seem to wrap around her in return.

She releases me and smiles. "I wasn't sure you were going to come," she tucks a short strand of hair behind her ear.

"Um, we'll here I am." I smile slightly.

She returns the smile. "I was thinking, if you're not busy right now, we could eat somewhere. Maybe." She looks at me hopefully waiting for a reply.

"I would enjoy that," I smile at her. After all I was a bit hungry.

TAYLOR'S POV:

We stopped at a little café on the south side of Hollywood, one where not too many people went mainly because it wasn't Starbucks.

I got the usual, a chai tea with an apple cinnamon muffin.

Ed was too overwhelmed with the names of the muffins (for example: the independence waltz) so, he ended up with a bowl of soup and a green tea.

"How did the festival go?" I started the conversation, after a minute of us just, sitting and sipping our drinks.

"It went well. The weather here is quite hot though, something I'm not really used to." I nodded,

"When I left Nashville I brought all my long sweater-vests with me." I watched as he almost chocked on his tea.

"Sweater-vests? You're kidding me right?" He stared at me, amusement shining in his bright green eyes.

"Sweater-vests are as comfortable as cats are soft!" I said, straitening my posture, trying to be completely serious.

"Mm-hmm," Ed muttered, I knew he was trying not to laugh.

I blushed kind of, sweater-vests had been a dark part of my past. After all, sweater-vests weren't exactly friend-making material.

I cleared my throat, "So, for the duet..." I mumbled looking down at my muffin. "I was thinking we could do it, once I get to know you better." I picked at my muffin.

"Uh, yeah." Ed replied, somewhat uncertain.  I mentally face palmed myself for how it sounded. I checked the time. It was getting later into the night. I could tell it was going to get more awkward if we just sat here, acting as we are now.

"Uh, it's getting late." I pursed my lips, and stood slowly Ed following.

We got a box for our stuff (more so, I, since Ed finished his soup without me noticing) and went outside to our cars. I was just about to get into my car when Ed called,

"Taylor!"

"Yeah?" I answered, turning to face him.  He smirked and pointed to a go-cart place.

"You wanna go?" He asked, after a minute.  I felt a smile spread across my face,

"Seriously? Yeah!" I laughed, and jogged over to the doors.

+++++

It took a while to get our go-carts because this girl was freaking out because she saw us. We signed a few things and got a few pictures with her, in return we were go-carting for free.

"Let the race begin!" I yelled, over the top of the motoring cart.

"May the best driver win!" Ed yelled back.

"3..." There was a set of lights to count us down, "2....... 1!"

We took off faster than the green light itself and down a small paved road, Christmas lights lit the pathway, as the sky was dark. Ed was in front of me by a bit.

It felt nice, the wind whipping through my hair as we raced away from Hollywood, from civilization. I don't know, maybe it was just ditching the whole scene, being away, and not caring.

GO-CARTING YAY! A bit longer of a chapter hope you like it! PLEASE remeber to vote it only takes a second! THANK YOU GUYS! If you have any suggestings or wanted to say something please comment! will try to get chapter 4 on! :3
