Lauren's pov

I have always had a crush on Jacob Sartorius.

Jacob and I have been neighbors since we were born but he never talked to me, not even once. He is 13 and I am 13. I was born 4 days before him. But he has always stuck to himself and I never bother him.

Our houses are right next to each other and I can see into his window. Every morning he plays music and that wakes me up almost every morning. There was only one time where I was staring at him and he saw me, this was a month ago. I felt so embarrassed. What are you doing Lauren. I quick found something that I was doing to make it look like I wasn't staring at him.

"Lauren. Come down here. Your father and I have to talk to you." Said my mom.

Uh oh. "Be right down." I called back.

I walk down the stairs casually not knowing what is going to happen. Both my parents are sitting at the kitchen table looking at me.

"Sit down Lauren." My dad says.

"Your father and I are leaving on a two month business trip." Says my mom.

"That's greats!" I said.

"Here's the thing." My dad said. "We have absolutely no place for you to stay."

"I will talk to Chloe tomorrow at Chipotle. Maybe I can figure something out."Btw Chloe is my BFF 4 lyfe!!

"When do you guys leave?" I asked

" In a week." My mom said.

It was late by the time we got done discussing all the details.

"I am going to head up to bed.
Goodnight." I told my parents.

"Goodnight." Both my parents said.

I went upstairs to my room, showered, and I got into bed. Just as I was about to fall asleep I heard music. My bed faces to window so I sat up and looked over into Jacob's window. I saw him sitting there looking at me. I smiled and waved. He smiled and waved. I couldn't believe he actually waved. I lay back down and went to bed thinking about Jacob.

Jacob's pov

I went up to my room and started playing music. I saw movement in Lauren's window and looked over and she saw me. Dang. What am I supposed to do know. She waved and smiled and so did I. I can't believe how beautiful she is. I have never talked to her because I am afraid that she won't like me.

I looked back in her window and she was gone. I turned off my music and went to bed thinking about I would ever get to talk to Lauren.
