Chapter 2: Chipotle

Lauren's pov

I woke up to Jacob's music and remembered last night. ☺️ And the I remembered that I didn't have a place to stay for the next 2 months. I texted Chloe:

Me: Hey Chloe! You doing anything later?

Chloe💁🏼: No. Whatcha need bestie?

Me: Meet me at Chipotle @ 11.

Chloe💁🏼: Ok! See you then! Love ya! 😘

Me: Alright! See you later Chloe! Love you!😘

At 10:45

"Hey mom!" I yelled downstairs.

"Yes darling?" She called back.

"I am meeting Chloe at Chipotle at 11. I will ask her then if maybe I could stay at her house. I will text you and let you what she says." I yelled down the stairs.

"You better get ready then!" My mom called up.

"I will." I yelled back down.

I started looking through the my closet. Btw I have a huge walk in closet. I have so many clothes to choose from. I picked out a blue crop top that showed a little bit of my stomach with jean shorts that I got from American Eagle. And some nice sandals to go with my outfit. I got out my curling iron and curled my hair. I don't like makeup too much so I just put on a little mascara. I grabbed my phone and ran downstairs.

"Bye mom!" I yelled.

"Bye Lauren!" She yelled back.

Chipotle is just a block away so I just walked there.

When I got there Chloe was already there waiting for me. We both got up and went up and ordered.

We both went and sat back down when who should walk in but Jacob and his friend Mark. I looked over and Jacob looked over and winked at me. ☺️ They walked into line got their food and sat down in the table right behind us.

"So what did you need to talk about?" Chloe asked me.

"Ok. So my parents are going on a business trip and they are going to be gone for the next 2 months." I said. " And I have no where to go." I could tell Jacob and Mark were listening to our conversation because there was no conversations at their table at all.

" OMG! I would love to do that but here is the thing Lauren. We are going on a big cruise next week and we will be gone for 2 weeks." She said. "And we just don't have the money to buy another ticket for you. I'm so sorry though Lauren."

"That's ok. I guess I will just have to find somewhere else to stay." And just as I said that Jacob turned around and said " We have a spare bedroom in our house. I'm sure my parents would be fine with you staying. I'll call my mom right now."

Chloe looked at me and winked knowing I had the biggest crush on Jacob. I started blushing. I hope it didn't look too obvious that I liked him.

As soon as he got off the phone he said "My mom says it is totally fine if you would want to stay over at our house while your parents are gone. She said just come over to discuss it tonight. Dinner at my house at 5."

"Your totally amazing." OMG did I say that out loud. " I meant that would be cool. See you tonight at 5 then."

Chloe was laughing so hard. We just kept eating and talking. Jacob and Mark just kept to their own conversations too.

I texted my mom and said I would just tell her all about it when I got home.

Jacob's pov

I can't believe I actually invited her over.

As Mark and I were walking back home Mark stopped and said "Dude she is totally hot and it was very obvious that she's into you. If she does come over you have to ask her out."

"Mark where is she going to sleep though?" I asked because Mark lives in PA and he came to visit me for 2 weeks.

"She can sleep in your room with you." Mark told me.

"I don't know if she would be comfortable with that." I said. "And I
am not going to ask her because that would make it awkward."

"Then I will ask her." Mark said.

We just kept walking in silence.
