Jakes' POV

Melissa was so obnoxious ! She kept twirling her hair, and laughing.

Ugh, when will this end !

"look, Melissa, I have to go," I said.

"aw, ok ," she pouted, and leaned in kissing my cheek.

"bye Jake." she said waving.

"bye," I said walking away quickly and wiping my cheek of, she had left a red mark.

I wanted to get home and maybe get some soccer practice in, I had to make sure I was in good shape for my teams trip to Africa this February.

I was on a league, and took my soccer pretty seriously.

When I got home, I asked my mom to drive me up to the park.

She said sure, and soon I was kicking the ball around.

Alli's POV

I couldn't help but feel stupid at all the looking I had done. But that guy was so mesmerizing !

We were back home, and I had to look after my little brother. Taking his hand, I walked him up to the park, he loved the swings.

When we got there, he ran towards the swings, and I jogged after him, I looked at the field I loved playing soccer on, and saw Jake there practicing his soccer.

I quickly followed my brother, in hopes that Jake wouldn't see me, but right as I turned my head towards my bro, I saw him look at me.

Helping my bother, Luke, get on a swing, I climes on myself, and starting pumping.

Soon I was high as the bar holding me up, I huge smile on my face.

Everything slowed down, and my hair flew in front of my face. As if in slow motion, still smiling, I turned my head to see Jake walking towards me a smile on his face too.

Looking up, the sky got closer and farther away, with every swing.

Everything sped up again, and Jake was there pushing Luke on the swing, my four year old brother laughing with Gus head thrown back the sun catching his blonde hair.

I slowed the swing down, and got off, looking at Jake I mouthed 'thank you' and smiled at my brother.

The poor kid didn't have a normal life, my mom got cancer right when he was born so he didn't know what my mother was like when she wasn't sick.

Jake nodded in reply, and waved as he left with his soccer ball, my brother cried out "bye !"

Jake had always been good with my brother, and I really appreciated it that he still cared.

Just then I felt a drop of water hit my nose, and my brother and I ran all the way home, laughing in the rain.
