Alli's POV

school is finally over and in only three days will Jake and I be on our way to Rome. I have never been more excited. The only thing that stopped me from being in a completely blissful mood was the dream that still lingered with my darkest thoughts. Always there, it haunted me and found ways into my everyday life.

I had come up with countless explanations for the man's existence.

1- maybe he was a sibling of my mothers ?

I dismissed that one pretty early on. They acted way to close to be siblings and wouldn't she have mentioned him before?

2- he was a former boyfriend that had visited me and mom when I was younger.

Unlikely, he was around too much in the dreams to be a former boyfriend. Plus he acted way too lovey dovey with the two of us which scared me immensely.

3- he was built from my imagination and he wasn't real and neither were the dreams.

That wasn't it either. I felt that they were real. Not just dreams but memories. It was like something clicked in place when I had them

There were tons more crazy explanations, but deep down I knew none if them were legitimate answers to the mysterious man in my dreams.

Jake's POV

It was the day of our trip and Alli and I were getting a ride to the airport with her dad.

When he picked me up, all was silent except for the soft music coming from the speakers.

Half way to the airport her father started off a rather emberassing conversation.

"Now kids," he said almost nervous "I know both of you are smart, but both of you are also in a relationship and your teenagers, so I know there are probably sparks flying, and a lit mote interesting things to do than hold hands.

"but I want you both to know that it's ok to want to do things," he continued really getting into the swing of things now "I remember when I met your mother, Alli," and then it got nasty and he explained his... Desires

"anyway," he finished up as we reached the airport "I just want you guys to use protection if you feel the need to 'quench your thirst' " he chuckled at his little joke, and I grimaced.

"ok, thanks for that dad," Alli said sarcasticly taking her bags from the trunk.

I walked over to help her "Is your dad always like this?" I asked her, smiling at her emberassment.

"don't worry Mr. White," I said raising my voice so her father could here "my thirst is quenched,"

Alli smacked my arm, and sighed.

Her dad peeked his head around the back of the car and startled me so much I hit my head on the trunk as Alli closed it.

"Oops," she said with an innocent smile "my bad."

Patting me on the head she gave her dad a hug and said her goodbye's

After I said good bye to her father as well we headed into the airport and checked ourselves into the flight, slowly making our way through customs.

All the students on the trip were meant to take their own flights to Rome and meet everyone there.

After about half an hour we boarded the plain and soon we were high up in the sky...

Alli's POV

As the plane rose above the clouds I slowly drifted into an uncomfortable sleep.

~~~~ DREAM ~~~~
"you have reached my kingdom," boomed an invisible voice. Spinning around I didn't see anyone but noticed I was in a simple tall Greek looking temple, mostly all marble, except for the floor which resembled white fluffy clouds, and I noticed my feet sunk a few inches in as though I actually were standing on a
cloud.
"welcome my dear, oh it's been so long," this time the voice was much softer and sounded behind me. Turning around cautiously I gasped as I saw the man from my previous dreams, yet here he looked slightly older.
He was strongly built and had the same dark curly hair as before, his skin still dark and sun drenched. A white tunic hung from his well built frame and stopped just above his knees and tied on one shoulder with a golden clasp.
"who are you," I asked, my words coming out much braver than I felt.
His eyes seemed to wet but when he spoke his words were clear "it's a shame you don't remember, you were so young,"
I looked at him in confusion.
"I was known by the Romans, the Greeks," he said defiantly, seemingly standing tall and proud, "but all that ended when they took you from me," he said with a defeated look in his eyes.
"I'm sorry," I said "but i don't know what your talking about,"
"it's alright child," he said reaching his arm out to mine "soon everything will be clear,"
He started to fade, but before he and everything else around turned black, his fingers brushed my arm and I felt an almost familiar warmth travel through me.
