The After Games

Chapter 10 Beginning of the Games Part 2

I'm running strait for the spear and a water bottle. I can feel my heart pounding, as I grab it then start rubbing to a dry spot where there is no water.

Then I hear footsteps running after me, I look behind, two 14 year old boys are running after me. I start to pick up my feet and run faster, then I spot a low bush near the swamp, and I slip behind it when they aren't looking.

I stay their for a moment, then I get my water bottle hoping for water inside but no such luck!

Then I remember in school when we watched a water video, I need to get some water then cook it over some fire, but then if I do a fire then the other tributes will find me!

I am confused!

Then I see Braxton on the other side

of me, he saved me so why not be in an alliance with him? I motion for him to come over.

Suddenly I hear someways crunch, I look to my left and their is Addison, ready with a small but sharp knife.

Then I motion for Braxton to stop, Addison walks by, then before sun-down he finally comes near me.

Then we crawl under a HUGE suspicious bush. The bush was suspicious because it had a small but noticable camera, I look in it, and then there is an exsplotion, and me and Braxton get blown to the other side of the shrub. "What was that?!?" I ask, then there is another one, I hear it then some distinct screams, then again, and again,"If we hear another one close, then RUN!" I tell him jut for a short plan. We hear one to the right a couple miles then another scream and it goes silent.

"BOOM!" There is a giant exsplotion to the next of Braxton, I gab my spear then yell,"RUNNNNN!!!" He grabs his bow an arrow and it is completely dark now, 2 Cannons go off, there is a small "Boom," in the distance, and we just keep running. When we finally feel we're safe, we try to go to sleep.

Suddenly another Cannon goes off, then I start to think of Mavis, I hope she's all right! Then I start to drift asleep...
