Chapter 13- Hiding

I know someone is after me, maybe Addison, or maybe Braxton? But I'm still very scared!

When it's dark, I slowly creep out if my position and into the open. "Hello........" Said someone in a creepy tone. I look behind me, there stands Braxton, with a sharp knife, "Uh-Oh." I think as I start in a sprint towards the empty woods.

When I reach the woods, I see a hollow tree, and I quickly hide in it, I hear footsteps running past the tree I think it's Braxton. I hold my breath until I hear him pass.

Then there's a scream, it sounds like Braxton's voice. "Someone else is here." I think nervously. When the footsteps are gone, I slowly get out of the dusty tree and when I'm walking around, someone pulls my shoulder.

They pull my shoulder hard, and I turn backwards and I'm facing a girl, I've never seen her before.

"Who are you?" I ask her quietly, she doesn't respond and I just nod. "Say goodbye to your sister......... too late she's already dead," she says with a smile,"So don't bother."

"She's dead? How can she be?" I think worried as this strange girl throws me on the swampy ground and gets out an arrow, she grabs some mud and makes a circle on my face. I soon realize she's making a bullseye. "Oh god!" I think as she pulls out a sharp arrow but with no arrow. She uses her hand and aims the bow for the bullseye shes about to throw it when I hear running feet. I turn my head slightly to see a girl, that resembles my sister, Mavis but it can't be. She is dead. Or is she? Maybe that girl played me?

When the girl gets closer I back up a little not knowing who she is or why she is coming.

"Travis?" The girl says.

"Mavis?" I ask the girl that I now know is my sister.

"She is NOT dead!" I yell at the girl who is still ready to throw the arrow.

I get up and push the tribute in the bushes and I run towards Mavis, "We need to get out of here!" I tell her. "No." She says stubernly.

"I need to finish her off, she almost killed you!" She says as she walks towards the girl in the bushes.

"Hello Faye," Mavis finally identifies the odd girl who attacked me,"This is for killing Jadyn!" She yells as she throws her knife and hits her in the chest, blood streams everywhere. "C'mon, now lets go." She says as she runs back to me.

When we hide in another hollow tree, she says,"I have a plan."
