Hotel

I fell asleep during the two hour drive to the airport and somehow woke up on CJ's shoulder. He smiled and whispered "Good morning sleeping beauty." I playfully flicked his noes and he laughed. I looked out the window, we were pulling into the parking garage. I smiled and jumped out of the jeep when we parked and  opened the back. I grabbed Toby and petted him through the cage. "Hey babe we're here" I said to him as I grabbed my suitcase with the other hand. CJ grabbed his suitcase to and all four of us walked up and got our bags checked and got our tickets. A lady behind the counter told me that Toby's cage was small enough to take on the plane with  me. I smiled and thanked her. We all sat in some chairs for about thirty minutes before we heard a man's voice over the announcer say the plane was loading. Me and CJ stood up and hugged our parent, and then we hugged eachother's. "Mom I'll call you every night I promise. Be safe" She just smiled and I saw a couple tears roll down her cheeks. "I can't believe my baby is going all the way across the country..." I hugged her one more time and walked with CJ to the plane. We stepped up the stairs and onto the plane. A lady with a high bun and tight blue suit led us to our seats. I sat by the window and put Toby in front of me. CJ sat beside me. I laid my head on his shoulder and fell asleep.

"Mandy.. hey.. wake up." CJ was lightly shaking me and I lifted my head. "We're here."

"Oh my gosh we are?" I  jumped up and grabbed Toby. CJ chuckled and led me out of the plane. We walked into the airport and got out bags off of the round conveyor belt thing.. "I really want to sit on it" I said. "No c'mon!"  CJ grabbed my arm and dragged me away. I laughed and got my phone out to call for a taxi. We walked outside and sat by a flower pot, and talked about random things, from flying elephants, to magical wizards. We laughed and laughed. Finally the yellow car pulled up in front of us and we threw the bags into the trunk. "Where to?" A scruffy looking guy with dark sunglasses and a cigar hanging out the corner of his mouth asked. "Umm.. we don't really know this place to well we're from the east." I said. "Do you know any good hotels that accept pets?" CJ asked him, pointing to Toby's cage. He nodded and started driving. About 25 minutes later we pulled up to a glorious looking hotel. "That'll be $11.95 " the cab driver said. I gave him 15 dollars and told him to keep the change. He thanked us and we walked into the hotel to check it. A young blonde was behind the front desk. She smiled at us "Can I help you?" 

"We would like to check in." CJ said. 

" Just two of you?" she asks.

"And my dog." I said smiling. 

"Aww what's this little fella's name?" She asks me. 

"Toby. and I'm Mandy and this is CJ." I said.

"Well it's nice to meet you guys, your room is on the top floor, room 508." She said handing us a pair of keys. I smiled and thanked her. We took the elevator up to our room and I slid the key into the door. I opened the door to a beautiful room with two large bed and a full kitchen and bath. The walls were a beautiful red and the carpet was a soft black fabric. The ceiling was white and one wall was made entirely of glass. I laid Toby's cage down and let him out. He jumped onto one of the beds and laid down.Soon he was fast asleep.I laid down beside him and looked at my phone. "Oh geez its 2 am." I said. "Yeah let's get some sleep " CJ said and laid down on the other bed. "What do you wanna do tomorrow?" I asked. " I was thinking we'd go clubbing i think we passed some right up the street." CJ said. I agreed and soon fell asleep.. Little did I know Toby would visit me again... this time though, the dream was different.

                                                     ***Dream***

The dream was just like I remembered except this time, I could feel another presence behind Toby.... It was a man and he was strangely familiar. Before I could see his face, Toby opened his mouth and I woke up.
