Underneath a mask (High Priest Zane x Reader)

-Chapter 8-

"W-what?!" As soon as Zane had said this the whole room turns white and Zane looks around confused

Zane pov

"We have to get her out of here... they plan to use her again... as a weapon once more..."
"Wouldn't she of remembered how she was a weapon? And tried to run away by now?"
"No her memories were removed by that... fateful night..." She looks up to me and glares
"You better get her out of this one person risked their memories for you while the other risked her life... and now you're going to do the same for them"

"W-what do you mean two people?!" I said to her but it was too late, I watched as my line of vision started to blur up as patches of pink started to appear.
As I slowly regained my vision I saw that I was underneath the cherry blossom tree and watched as the pink petals flew with the soft breeze that went by.

'W-what happened?' I thought to myself my eyes widened as soon as I had remembered what jermimah had said 'One person risked their memories for you while the other risked her life'
"Who would do such a noble thing for me..." I said to myself as I got up and begin to walk down the path that I had seen in the vision.

A few minutes had passed as the wind roughly pushed me from side to side but I had stayed strong and continued to walk through the wind.
As soon as I had reached my destination I had quickly climbed up to the trees and crouched on the tree branch and looked at where the guards were standing.

'Damn it... they're blocking the only en-' before I could say anything else I see as a window had open right next to a high tree to only see that (Y/n) was opening the window to stare outside.
So I quickly jumped from branch to branch I think that she had seen me for she looked towards me and immediately her face lit up with happiness.

I had made it to the branch that was next to her window and looked up into her eyes she looks down at me as I stared into her eyes she smiles down to me and says.
"Zane... please get me out of here..." She says as she frowns and tears fill up in her eyes I hated to see her sad so I thought quickly on something.

"Don't worry I will princess" A smile was on her face but tears went down her face I heard a quick sharp noise to my right and had a look to see it was an arrow I didn't move though I still wanted to see (Y/n) smile.

"Zane move!" she says trying to push me out of the way as tears fell down her eyes with her trying to swipe me away but I catch her arms and held onto both of her hands and dragged her down a little bit and went on to my tippy toes and gently pecked her lips and whispered "I love you (Y/n)..."

As I said this the arrow had shot through my hip causing me to let go of (Y/n) hands and fall straight towards the ground and watched as she continued to cry.
I looked to my right to see that Fenir was standing there with a smirk on his face as he mouths the words "She's mine"
