A/N I think I'm more excited for this one than the last. I spent a lot of time on the story, video(especially the scraps of paper jfc), and the photo attached as well. I also noticed it's almost like a continuation of the last one bc this one is on Christmas and the last one was Christmas Eve.. But it's not a continuation so don't worry!

Prompt: It's Christmas and Phil sends Dan on a scavenger hunt :)

Other: Pls don't just read the scavenger hunt photo and skip this, actually read the chapter /.\ Author's notes are in bold and parenthesis. I had this idea from my dad doing this to my mum with a necklace like 7 years ago, we typed up the papers, cut them out, hid them and everything /.\

"Dan, wake up!" Phil said, gently shaking Dan's shoulder.

"Phil, what time is it?" Dan asked, rolling over to look at the black haired boy. "And why is there a camera in my face?"

"It's 9:45, it's Christmas, and I wanted to record today! I think the fans deserve a 'festive day in the life' kind of day. Even know it is Christmas." Phil replied, smiling brightly down at Dan who just rolled back over.

"Aw, c'mon sleepy head!" Phil leaned down and kissed Dan softly on the cheek.

Dan smiled and rolled over and pulled Phil down to kiss him, "I'm up, don't worry." He said after.

"Here," Phil said, handing Dan a nicely wrapped small-ish box wrapped in blue paper with cute snowmen on it. "I saved this one last for a reason." Phil smiled at Dan, hoping to God he didn't look as nervous as he felt.

"Phil, what more could you have gotten me? You already got me the phone case, which I love by the way, a few shirts that I also love, Maltesers, and the Soul Eater box set. Which I'm surprised we didn't have." Dan said, starting to open the present. They set up the tripod to film them sitting on the floor by their tree and fireplace while they opened their gifts.

Phil shrugged, "It was a last minute gift." he hoped Dan couldn't tell he was lying.

"Right, okay Phil." Dan replied, looking at his boyfriend with his signature heart eyes. He opened the present to reveal a small black box. Dan chucked at the box colour and took off the lid. He didn't know what to expect, but he surely wasn't expecting to find just a slip of paper with 1/10 in the corner surrounded in blue tissue paper.

Dan looked up at Phil questioningly and Phil just nodded, "Read it." so Dan did.

Dan, I know you were probably expecting some kind of gift and not a piece of paper. Well I won't disappoint you, but you've got to search for it. I know that stinks, but I hope it's worth it.

"You've got to be kidding me. Really, Phil?" Dan asked, looking up from the small box that held a single slip of paper. "You're sending me on a scavenger hunt?"

"Yep! Now up you go!" Phil smiled brightly and gave Dan a push.

"How the hell am I supposed to know where to go?!" Dan questioned, standing up and helping Phil up.
