Cara leads me to the kitchen, the smell of lasagna leading us there with no troubles. The twins and Anna are sitting at the table, plates overflowing with the cheesey pasta.

Rosie ushers me in a chair and sets a plate in front of me, piled with two huge pieces of lasagna. "Oh, you don't have to give-" I begin but Rosie rolls her eyes at me.

"Honey you are going to be living with me and my family for another year and I'll have none of that. My family likes food and I want to get your skinny little arse in shape. So eat all you want." She lectures me with her hands on her hips.

"I'm not that skinny. You've probably seen skinnier." I try to reason with her but she gives me a pointed look and lifts up another piece of lasagna from the pan. I hastily shove a piece into my mouth before she could add any more to my plate and she smiles, satisfied.

Xavier walks in, still looking dazed, and starts grabbing a plate.

"What happened to Xavier? He looks like..." Cara struggles to find a word as she whispers to me. "He looks surprised I guess, or shocked. He never looks like that. Ever. What happened?"

Rosie must have been thinking the same thing. "What happened to you, Xavier?" She gives a questioning look to a very confused Xavier.

For once, he is quiet. No witty come backs. No cocky remark. No sarcastic words. Nothing. It was likely the only time I would see Xavier Costello rendered speechless.

And I would enjoy every minute of it.

He gapes at her, like a fish out if water. His mouth opens several times before he can manage to utter a single word. Which wasn't a very impressive one. "Uh..." He was at a lost for words.

This continues for several minutes, as he tried to regain his brain and cool. If he had a brain.

I mentally high five myself, congratulating myself with both surprising Xavier and for the amazing comment. I sit back and watch as Xavier figets, still trying to find his brain.

"Uh... collage football game. Yeah," he nods hard as he latches onto a thought as he gets his mouth to work. "Yeah. The score of the football game. I can't believe State lost. Especially to Michigan. Their team sucked this year." He walks to the table, grinning at me, and sitting in the seat next to me.

Oh hell no.

I am not having that. I finish what I can of the lasagna in a few minuted and stand up before Xavier could do anything he'd regret. "Ma'am, im not-"

"It isn't ma'am RylieeAnne. It's Rosie." She grins at me and uses my full name, amusement glinting in her eyes.

I bite my lip and give her a withering look. "It's just Ryliee."

She nods. "I know. Now you know how I feel. Go on what were you saying?"

"Um. I'm actually like, really tired so is it alright if I just crash for the night?" I ask, glancing at Xavier and not trusting the growing grin on his face.

"Oh yes, dear. My goodness, I didn't even realize. It must have been a long day for you. Go right ahead sweetie. Oh and don't worry about going to school tomorrow, you can start Monday. I've already enrolled you at Xavier's school, so he can show you around and help you If you need it. But no need to worry about that now, have a good night." She dismisses me and I gladly leave, wondering what Xavier had in store for me

After I take a shower and French braid my pastel dyed hair, I quickly find the laundry room- Thanks to cara- and run back to my room in a big t- shirt and some spandex. I forgot to grab some pajama bottoms before I showered and resorted to running like i was going to war before someone saw me.
