I ran for 6th grade homecoming court & I got it .. But that was before my daddy got locked up I found out I won the day he went to jail . I wasn't even excited anymore . I wanted to just tell them I didn't wanna do it , but I needed to he stuff off my mind .
I was so stressed out , I didn't even have nobody to walk me down the court , cause I was gone get my daddy to do it . I didn't wanna talk to people , didn't wanna ask nobody to walk me .
I even up having to , I asked Jalen Marshall he told me yeah , I used to call him my grandaddy . My sister Neka got me dressed did my hair and make up.
The plan was for us to wear blue because my dress was blue , please explain to me why he wore orange ? I'm like we Finna look like we crip or some walking down here . I just wanted to scream at this point !
I was so upset I just left it alone and just walked down the court . When they said my name , everybody started screaming and cheering ! It scared me for a second cause my mind was on something else , I wanted to cry . I didn't tho ! Everybody wanted to take pictures of me , they couldn't believe I actually came after all I was going through . After that went and changed into a regular outfit went and found my twin and turnt up the rest of the game .. I had fun , it felt good to get my mind off my daddy .
It's seemed like when I was around people my mind wasn't on him , but as soon as I got home in my room by myself that's all I could think about , I didn't wanna be bothered but I didn't wanna be left alone ..
