Laken's POV:
I am literally puking all over the floor from the shock. Okay, that's an overstatement. But never the less, I am still freaking out. Nash Grier just tweeted that they will be coming to Chicago for Magcon. I have to get tickets. No questions asked. But there's just one set back. My dad finds the boys repulsive and there is no way he will buy me tickets. My thoughts were interrupted by Olivia asking me why I was spazzing. "Magcon is coming to Chicago!!!" I exclaimed. "No way!!!" Olivia and Marlie said at the same time. Obviously in disbelief. "We have to go, you never know when Magcon is going to end," Olivia said. Marlie and I looked at her in disgust. "Why would you even say that?" I asked, being that Marlie was at a loss of words. "I'm just being practical. Those boys have so much talent. They're eventually going to realize that they could do bigger and better things. I love Magcon just as much as you do. But they need to do what's best for their future and careers. I'm afraid Magcon isn't it," Olivia explained. "I guess that makes sense," Marlie finally said. "Yeah, I mean we want them to become successful. But it will be the worst feeling when they do their last show," I added tears brimming my eyes at the thought. "Hey don't cry," Marlie started, tears threatening to spill out of her own eyes, "We still have them. And we are going to make the best of it." Olivia and I just nodded, not trusting our words.
After a long group hug, Olivia finally broke the silence. "Let's go online and buy our tickets." This made my stomach turn. Not in the good way. "My dad might not even let me go," I said exasperatedly. "He has to. If we all beg together there's no way he can say no," Marlie said.
"No, no way am I letting you go by yourself to go see a bunch of hormonal teenage boys prance around the stage," my dad said. "Dad, these boys are my heroes. It's my dream to see them live," I fired back. "Yeah Mr. Oliver. She needs to go. We will be with her the whole time," Olivia said trying to reassure my skeptical father. "No, I'm not paying the money," he said turning to me. "You want to go. You find a way to pay for it yourself." That was it, I was completely done with his moods. "Fine I will!" I said without thinking. Why would I say that? I thought. "Okay Laken, I hope you have a swell time at Magicon or whatever it is," my dad replied. "First of all, it's Magcon. Second of all, I intend to," I said trying to sound confident. And with that, Marlie, Olivia, and I walked out the front door.
