Greyson

"How could you possibly believe that I would ever wear that? Are you insane? "I asked furiously, my accent prominent, and stared at the pale blue suit in absolute horror, it was honestly so hard to find good help these days. The tailor paled and bowed apologetically.

"I'm sorry, Sir," He apologised but I waved my hand at him.

"I want a black suit, forget about whatever pompous fashion people are following. I refused to be a subject to it. " I shook my head and turned away from him.

"Absolutely, Your Highness, my apologies." I sighed and ran a hand through ny silky blonde hair. I pushed the doors open and strutted out of the tailor's private office and into the hallway. I needed a drink, before I lost my mind. The maids bowed at me in passing until one on particular had me pausing. Veronica. She was absolutely gorgeous. Her caramel Caribbean skin tone was absolutely delicious. Her lusciously thick black hair was tied up in a bun and her head was bowed.

"Veronica, "I bowed my head and took hold of her hand, I kissed the back and watched as her skin turned a light pink. I smiled dazzlingly at her." I waa hoping to run into you, "she pulled her hand away and glanced around before looking up at me.

"I hoped I wouldn't," She said boldly, her accent made her all the more desirable. "If you would allow me, my Prince, I would like to go back to my chores." She said politely.

"Say you'll marry me first, "I asked for the hundredth time.

"No," she refused again, her lips stretched lightly in a smile. I still didn't understand what game she was playing at, after an entire year, still she shot me down. I placed my hand onto the wall and looked down on her, I forced her against the wall and gazed deeply into her dark eyes.

"And why, may I ask, not? "I tilted my head to the side.

"One marries for love, Your Highness, not for status," she pushed against my chest but I didn't move. I needed to up my game.

"What makes you believe that I don't love you? "She looked up at me.

"What's my favourite colour?" I blinked at thw question and stood up straight.

"Green? "I asked not entirely sure and she chuckled.

"How can you possibly want to marry me if you don't even know the simplest of things about me?" She turned away, about ready to walk away.

"Wait, "She stopped," What is your favourite colour? "

"Brown," she smirked before hurriedly getting away from me. My brows furrowed, brown? Waa that even a colour to be favoured? I shook my head and stuck my hands into my pocket and continued my way down the hall and down the stairs. I went over to the small desk which held a glass bottle of Jack Daniels and two glasses on either side. I poured myself a half glass and took a sip before site down on the soft couch.

Veronica didn't leave my mind as I stared at the empty room. I did love her, since the moment I saw her, I felt she was the most beautiful woman alive, even if she was a maid, I didn't care, but obviously, she wanted me to actually know her, know her and that, I had hoped would come after the honeymoon. I shook my head, woman, they were difficult.

I couldn't even think about my birthday which was being celebrated tonight, my. 21st birthday and anyone who was anyone was invited. Every female bachelor was to be there and I only wanted one and she was skeptic. Typical. I looked up at the sound of the entrance doors being open. I set my glass down and sat up straight. The clicking of heels made me smirk, my aunt was here, the Dutchess to most of the towns people. Soon, Mara stood, clad in a pale pink dress suit and a wide bright smile.

"You Highness, "She bowed gracefully and I chuckled. I paused at the sound ou a low and soft 'meow', and then stood to meet her half way.

"Aunt, you know you don't have to do that." I pulled her into my arms for a hug.

"Oh, hush, I'm simply showing respect. "I looked into her eyes and the sparkle made me raise a single brow. " Now, I have a surprise for you. "She said excitedly, her British accent making it sound so extravagant.

"What is it?" She pouted.

"It's a surprise. "She said and I raised a brow while looking her up and down with suspicion, her gifts were never ordinary.

"A hint then?" I asked.

"It's a pet. "My face morphed into one of horror at the mention of a pet.

"Aunt, you cannot be serious, you know how I feel about pets." I said looking at her as though she had complete lost her mind.

"You will love him, I swear, "she held a hand to her heart.

"I couldn't possibly see how. Is it even potty trained?" I folded my arns over my chest. "Father won't approve." I shook my head disapprovingly.

"Would you forget about my brother, this is for you. "She took my hand in hers, staring up at me with her famous puppy dog eyes. I groaned and crouch for a moment before standing up straight.

"Fine," I grumbled and took my hands from her grasp, folding them over my chest.

"Splendid, "she beamed and wen to the door, she turned left and motioned for whoever she had with her to step closer." Greyson, happy birthday! "She held her hands out in surprise and I gapped as my so called 'pet'  looked nothing like a pet, he waa far from being an animal.

His skin was pale, cream like and it looked lickable, his lips were plump and pink. He was a picture of innocence as he bowed his head, hiding his eyes. I gapped further as I caught sight of his ears. They were pointy, cat like and pointing down.

"What the hell!? "I whispered as his slim and long tail came into view." oh, my God. " My hands fell to my sides as I blinked. He was absolutely attractive, if you forget about the tail and the ears, they threw me off in a way I wasn't ready to discover.

"How do you like your gift?" I reluctantly took my eyes off of the man to look at my aunt.

"The hell!? "I said," how in the world did you pull this off!? Wait, no, I know, this is a joke, isn't it? "I walked over to the man," these are probably not even real. "I lifted my hand and the ears twitched, I grabbed hold and tugged harshly but they didn't come off, instead they stayed on and the man hissed harshly, his hand instinctly went for my wrist. My eyes widened and I stared at his hand. Roughly I pulled my hand from his grasp. "This is...not real. I'm...probably drunk, yep, that makes sense." I pushed passed them. "I'll wake up and all this will be...a dream." I paused to look back at them, the man rubbed hia ear with a sad look in his eye, he glanced at me. "Just a weird dream." I shook my head and turned away, heading back upstairs.
