8 - Truth Telling

We sat in the back of the restaurant. His eyes were bright and his face was covered in ice-cream. I smiled as I watched him enjoy his frozen desert. He looked up at me with wide eyes and I held back an 'aww'. "It was fun. "He giggled and buried his face into my side. I smiled and squeezed his shoulder." I'm glad you had fun, Niall. "He purred and we came to a stop near a bench.

"You had fun too, though, right?" He asked biting his lip. I grinned.

"Bloody hell I did. "I ran my hand through his hair." If I could , I'd spend all my days spending more time with you. "He smiled a wide smile, his teeth showing and his cheeks were red and he looked down, taking my hand in mine. We stayed silent for a moment, just enjoying each others company.

"It's been my life for as far as I can remember." He whispered suddenly, his finger nails, pulling at the tiny hairs on my knuckles only to push them down.

"You don't have to tell me. "He looked up as I said it softly. He smiled a weak smile, his eyes glassy.

"I know," he assured me. "Before your aunt, I was sold, many times and brought back once they fell in love or something. I guess you could call it slavery but I was used for pleasure, mostly males but there waa the occasional female." He choked and swallowed.
