"Hey Fiona! I've missed you so much during the summer!" I squeal at the sight of my bestfriend.
"Umm, yea me too." She glances down awkwardly.
"Hey, is everything ok?" I ask her, she looks troubled.
"Look Sky, this year, I want to be different. I want to change, but I can't with you dragging me down." Now Fiona looks me straight in the eyes.
"Wh-what?" I stammer, what the hell is going on?
"I want to fit in this year! Have a lot of friends! Date guys! I want to be popular!" Fiona admits to me.
"That doesn't mean we still can't be friends?"
"Goodbye Sky, I'm really going to miss you." Fiona walks away quickly.
Did my bestfriend from pre-school just end our friendship?
I think she did. I just let that sink for a little while.
The only thing that made my day a little better was seeing Fiona, my bestfriend, my only friend. But I guess not anymore.
I am completely, and utterly alone.
