Frue POV

I woke up in the forest, probably far away from the castle of prince Ucile. He will soon be the king finally, I heard he trained so hard. Taking in my surroundings I looked to where my destination was. I probably fell asleep while walking. Quickly looking down I exhaled relieved I still have my clothes on. Don't know where these perverts are these days. I stood up and brushed myself off of the dirt and felt my hair.

Still in its bun.

I saw the cliff and ran towards it, not wasting much time.

Finally there, I looked further and saw there wasn't much of a distance from where I was and what was below. Just a waterfall on my right and sharp rocks around the area. Looking up, I saw the swing with the tire that I had and smiled. Still there after all these years. I tried to remember the melody I sang to myself to remember how to get up into my secret room in the air. I remember dad put all his energy into making a permanent invisible cloak that I will forever be grateful for.

Looking down I saw something little shine under the leaves. I used my foot to swat away leaves and saw the tiles. Bingo.

They were silver and aligned like piano keys except with numbers and letters on them.

Seeing this, I had a little flashback from the day we were almost finished with the cloaked room.

*Flashback*

"One wrong move means I'd have to start over?" I asked my dad in an annoyed tone. He laughed and clasped his hands together. "Yes. But it's just so nobody would get ahold of your discreet room. Wouldn't want a group of random people standing on all of the keys to fall and enter your beautiful room would you?" He chuckled.

Picturing his statement I started laughing myself. "No, of course not!"

"Esch Nevok Nemys"

"What was that for?"

"Extra security."

"What do you mean?"

"Well if someone do happens to discover the keys getting a few parts correct in the beginning and they mess up, they have three more attempts before..."

Huh?

Confused I gave him a puzzled look. Why'd he stop?

"THE TICKLE MONSTER GETS HIM!" He shouted.

"NOOO!" I tried running but my father caught up to me and started to tickle me. Trying not to laugh I filled my
Mouth with air. Noticing his tickles don't effect me he turned away.

I looked at a bird on the far left of me. Big mistake. Soon I felt cold fingers wiggling on my neck and I burst laughing. He knows my neck is my weakness.

*End of Flashback*

Hmm..

If I mess this up I wonder what would actually happen..

Should I try?

But I'm sure it's agonizing pain..

No pain is worse then having your soul mate reject you.

Even if he didn't fully. I just know. Women know. Even when they don't, they know.

But what was that song?

"One..." Hop "Two..." Hop "Four..." Step "Eight.." Step

What was the next line?

"Avoid all.. Avoid all.. All what!"

I hummed the tune in my mind over and over and looked at the tiles. I noticed one was different f- wait no there was about 8 that looked different from the original tiles.. What? Before I could never see this.

What rhymes with eight

M- no. Yes! Mate that's what you were going to say. Mate. Mate. Mate. Mate. He hates you. And I hate you, my wolf, Carrie responded.

She shut me out. Stupid w-

OH .. "-take the gold for your fate.." I have never liked gold.

Hoping on every tile besides the gold I saw the enchantment flicker and I knew to go through the cloaked door in the tree.

On top in my tree house I opened the door with the tire swing on the outside of it hanging from a big branch.

Leaping onto the rope, I slid and sat on the tire. Looking down I saw death. That's all I'm going to use to describe it. Just picture a bunch of knifes from below you while you're basically on top of a tree. Except I'm on a swing...

And I don't plan on leaving.

I kicked my legs forwards then back and repeatedly did that until I was swinging high. Mate! Ma- I just told you about this dudette. My name is Carrie. Dudette. Mate! Dude-

"What are you doing up there!" I heard a voice snarl. By the instant goosebumps rising I knew exactly who it was.

"Having fun." I replied cooly.

This is not fun you idiot! Your on a swing above a bunch of sharp ro- I shut her out.

Not looking at him, I looked above to the sky, still swinging my legs back and fourth. "What is that on your arms?" He tried to sound hard but I heard a slip of strain in his voice. "Life," I laughed.

Maybe  if everything was over I'd live in peace. I really never thought I'd have the guts to do it but now.. After a moment crushed so bad.. A nightmare that was once a dream lived.. I really do wonder what all those people feel as they know they are on the brink of death. What they think. What they visualize.. And most importantly what memory they carry with them forever.

The rejection of my mate is a implanted chip on my brain I can't remove.

"Get down!" He snapped

"Or what!" I screamed smiling, even though I was aware his werewolf hearing would've picked up if I'd have spoken rather quietly as well.

"Or nothing. I don't even care anymore." He growled.

"I-I know.." I trailed off, feeling my heart clench.

"It's not like you would really jump to your death anyway," he muttered.

"Sure about that?" I laughed humorlessly.

"Positive." He challenged.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked at him in his eyes using my werewolf sight to see him crystal clear. I smiled with tears pricking the corners of my eyes and my nose tingling. Soon enough I felt a drop run down my cheek until more followed and I saw him laugh.

"Knew it,you're too weak—" As a kid, I always wondered if I could fly... "—you worthless pie–"

I jumped.
