In today's world, the most famous way of communication is through text. Texting causes many miscommunication  between both of the people. This is a story about Miranda and how the start of the new year was rocky with her boyfriend all because of miscommunication.

Miranda and her boyfriend have been talking through out the winter break in between semesters. Her boyfriend, Troy, is very old fashioned with certain things. Miranda is a mixture of old fashioned and modern day.

One day Miranda and Troy are texting each other. They are talking for more than three hours and Troy starts to talk about a random topic. Towards the end, he says I love you to Miranda. Miranda tells Troy how much she loves him and how much she missed being around him.

All of a sudden, Troy starts telling Miranda that he had to ask her something, but was completely cryptic about it. He noticed that she was confused about what was going on. Miranda tells him that she is lost, but that it is okay if Troy did not want to ask whatever it was that he wanted to ask until they saw each other.

Then he asked the question. As soon as Miranda read it, her phone fell right on her face. She did not know how to responded to a question like that. She re-reads it, but this time out load.

"Miranda, will you marry me" was written, right there on her screen. She started typing, but did not realize what she was typing until she was about to hit send. For some reason, her brain was able to come up with a response without her even realizing that she was actually thinking about what to say.

She tells Troy that she cannot answer the question with what he wants to answer. She sends him another message saying that it was way to soon in there relationship for that. They have only been dating for three months, just finished their first semester of college, and were only eighteen.

This then starts how she has a rocky start. He continues to message her non stop until she finally messages him back saying to give her some space and time to think. She sits down on her bed and decides to ask random strangers on an anonymous chatting app what to do. She then goes n Netflix and while she is waiting for people to respond, she starts to think that she cannot love him the same way anymore at the moment because that question was released into the air.

Miranda finally gets a response. Three different people say that she should think it over and ask her how young they are. She responds to them saying that they are only freshmen in college. No longer than five minutes, she has a response from one of the three people saying that it is way too soon, but it is still up to Miranda if she is willing to get passed it or break up with him.

Three minutes pass and he messages her again. He just keeps on messaging her non stop. When she has finally made up her mind, she opens up her messaging app and sees that she has more than ten consecutive messages from Troy. She did not know how to word exactly how she wanted to say, her mind knew what to type.

No matter how many times she told Troy that they needed a break, he will not stop messaging her. Troy just did not want to deal with having to get over her. She had to tell him multiple times that maybe later on they can get back together, but at the moment, she could not be the girlfriend that she was at the beginning and that if she was to continue, she would be loosing feelings for him and did not want string him along.

Then Troy try to say that he did not mean the question the way it was written. He kept on trying to take it back, but Miranda was not having it. She kept on telling him that she could no the the same right now because the question was in the air. He kept on saying that it was not a proper proposal because he did not get down on his knee and presented her with a ring. Miranda had to explain that it was a proposal because he asked her to marry him. They argued this for so long and Miranda got tired of it and said that it was in the modern day and he would not take it.

She had to tell him to stop messaging her and that they needed to go to sleep and confirmed that they were broken up. He did not want to hear it, but took it and went to bed, so she thought. Two hours later, while she was on Netflix, he messaged her again saying how he felt at the moment an just wanted to let her know that. Miranda read the message, but did not even bother to message him because she did not wan to have to fight with him again about their situation.

This is how communication in today's world is miscommunicated because of texting. This was the story of miscommunication between Miranda and Troy.
