LUKE'S POV

I was sooo nervous for Kayla to meet Alex.  My mind was racing with thoughts.  Mostly about Kayla, which I didn't understand.  The ones that came up the most often were

What if they don't like each other?  Who will I choose? My best friend or my girlfriend.

Of course I knew the answer to that.  Some of my thoughts were about how cute Kayla was.  I don't understand where those came from, but they were there.  I kept wondering, if I actually like Kayla as more than a friend, which is awkward considering I have a girlfriend, what would Cal do?

Oh god! Why did I have to think that.  Now if I tell Kayla, at any point in time, I'll be screwed over because of my thoughts on how Cal would take it.  

KAYLA'S POV

Today was the day I would get to met Lucus's little girlfriend Alex.  I dressed in some ripped jeans and a gray ATL tank top with cut up holes. This was Cal's shirt so I expected no less from him. Yes I borrow Cal's shirts.

I just hoped I was not too dressed down as I walked out to the driveway and saw Ash waiting for me in his old pickup.  Ash was taking me because I didn't want to ask any of the boy's parents so... Anyway....I didn't tell Ash why I going where I was going, but he seemed to know the urgency and the excitement in my voice.

When we finally got there I jumped out of the pickup, hugged Ash and told him when to pick me up, and ran into the park.

The first person I saw was Luke.  So me, being his best friend, ran up to him and tackled him in a flying hug.  When he pushed me off of him and I got up, I heard someone clear their thought behind me so I turned around to see a girl.  She was like a 6/10.  Her hair was like threads of bright sunlight, perfectly curled.  Her eyes brown like warm hot chocolate.  She was wearing a DRESS! Ewwww!! Dresses. They are disgusting.

"Hello. I am Kayla.  You must be Alex. Luke has told me so much about you." I say trying to start a conversation with her.

She just turns to Luke. "Why did she hug you like that? Is there something going on between you two that I should know about?" She says in a voice literally dripping with anger.

"No!" Me and Luke shout in unison.

"This is just Kayla. She has been my bestfriend since I was born.  I grew up with her.  There is nothing going on between us." He said this with...What was it..Maybe resentment, in his voice, I couldn't tell.  Which is kind of odd since I knew everything about him.

I started to talk to her and don't get me wrong but she is a total bitchacho. Like, she only cares about herself and doesn't even care that much about Luke. Relief flooded through me when I felt my phone buzz. I took it out of my pocket and looked at caller ID, which said that the caller was "QUEEN JAZZZ THE FABULOUS", it was Jazz (obviously), one of my other bestfriends and bandmate. I told Luke and Alex that i had to take a call.

"What do you want Jazz?" I said annoyed but relived at the same time.

"Umm....Hey Kayla....Me and Sierra need some help...What should we call the band?" Jazz asked.  Me, Jazz, and my other friend are in a band.  We haven't come up with a name yet but, we are pretty good  if I do say so myself.

"HIIIII KAYLA!!!!" I hear Sierra scream far away from the phone. 

"Hey bud...Umm can you ask me later I am meeting with Lucas' girlfriend," I said honestly, "She's not that great, but I promised Luke that I would talk to Cal about her so....."

"Oh well...Umm...I'll talk to you later.  BYE BOO!!!" She says.

"Ok bye boo."

 I hang up and go back to Luke and Alex who are in a deep conversation about who knows what.  

"Hey sorry guys that was Jazz."

"It's ok Kayla." Luke says then turns back to Alex.

"I'll just leave now. Bye Lucas!" I say and hug Luke and walk away.

 Then I ring Ash. "Hey Ash! Can you pick me up now. I am done with what I was doing and am really tired. So can you take me to my house?"

"Sure Kay, I was heading over there anyway." Ash replies.

"Thanks a lot Ash." I say with little enthusiasm.

Once Ash came, I hopped in the pickup. 

Without even waiting for him to start talking I blurt out, "So Ash, I have a feeling you are probably going to ask where I was, so I'll tell you anyways. I was with Luke in the park. I was also with Luke's girlfriend. He wants me to talk to Cal and the rest of you guys about her and to try and convince you guys to like her.  But I can't do that.  She is a total bitchacho and I really feel like Luke could do better.  What should I do Ash? Should I help my best friend or should I protect him from hurt with this girl? Please help me Ash I really want to help him but I don't know in what way." I knew Ash would probably understand the most out of the guys.
