Chapter 9

Elizabeth's P.O.V

I yawned again and looked over to Mr Barn. We all have been waiting for Logan to fully wake up for about 6 hours now and it's 10pm and I'm so tired. I introduced Cullen to Ivie and Tyler and they instantly gave him a warm welcome, although Ty did have to do his 'saftey check' which basically means asking him a series of questions. They ended up best mates in the end anyway.

"Hey doc?" I asked, half-asleep. Mr Barn turns to me with a sympathetic smile on his face. "Yes Elizabeth?" Since we've been at this hospital I've bonded quite well with Mr Barn and eventhough I insist on him calling me Lis, he still calls me Elizabeth.

"When do you reacon Logan will fully wake-up?" He bit his bottom lip then pursed his lips, scrunching his wrinkly nose up. "Probally tomorrow morning some time." I nodded and held back another yawn.

"Am I allowed to sleep with Logan on his bed?" I asked, not really caring because I'm going do it anyway.

He nodded and I climbed into Logan's bed, snuggling upto his side in comfort as I closed my eyes gently and listened to his steady heartbeat. "Goodnight Logan."

Someone gently played with my hair, twirling it around their finger. I smiled dreamily and snuggled into Logan's side, sighing in content. "Wake up Liz..." A deep, husky yet very soothing voice told me. I frowned. That sounds like Logan's voice.

"Liz please." He repeated and my eyes snapped open. That IS Logan's voice! I looked up to see my gorgeous mate staring back at me with a soft smile on his face. I gasped and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling his head down to meet mine.

His lips smashed against mine and sparks flew everywhere. The kiss was slow and full of love, we broke away breathless after a minuet. My hands caressed his cheek and my eyes roamed around his face, checking that he's really awake.

His beautiful orbs stared into mine and I showed him a toothy grin. "Your awake!" He grinned back at me. "Yeah I have been for a few hours..." He trailed off and I frowned at him. "Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked, confused. Why wouldn't he wake me up as soon as he woke up?

He showed me a cheeky grin. "Because you looked so cute sleeping!" He squealed in a high pitched voice, sounding like a girl. I stared at him blankly for a moment before bursting out in hysterical laughter. "Oh my god Logan you did NOT just say that!" I exclaimed, burring my head in his chest.

A laugh errupted through his chest, making it vibrate. "Oh you better believe it darlin'." He winked at me and I blushed and giggled.

"Hey Liz your awake I-" Cullen said, stepping in the room but was cut off by a growl rippling through Logan's throat. Logan pulled me tight to him and stared daggers at Cullen. "Mine." He growled and Cullen put his hands up in surrender.

"Dude, chill, I'm her brother." Logan's eyes widened as he turned to me. "I didn't know you had a brother." I shrugged. "I didn't either until yesterday."

Logan frowned and turned to me with a questioning look. "How did you escape?" I sighed and ran my hand over my face. "Oh that my dear mate is a long story."

Logan arched an eyebrow at me. "I've got time." He argued. "No you haven't." I fought back and he gave me a strange look. "Yes I do..." I sighed. "No, really. You don't." Mr Barn walked in with a clipboard.

"Okay Logan we need to run a few tests to make sure you're okay." I gave him a pointed look and he rolled his eyes and mumbled a 'whatever'. I kissed his cheek and left the room, Cullen following me.

I sat outside the room on a chair and Cullen stood infront of me. "So... He seems... Nice." I rolled my eyes at him. "Thats because he is." Cullen sighed. "He better be treating you right or he'll get it from me." He growled lowly so no one else could hear.
