Chapter 12

Elizabeth's P.O.V

"So you called us down here to...?" Joseph and Kate grinned cheekily at each other. "To give you your birthday present!" Kate beamed. She handed Logan a small letter and Logan tore it open within seconds. He frowned and I looked at what they got him. "Uh?"

It was a leaflet for a holiday hotel in Miami. There was also two tickets in there with a yellow sticky note saying "Get packing Logan!" Logan chuckled and hugged his parents. "Thank you so much!"

Kate laughed. "Oh shush up you big goof. You just have fun."

"So, who you going to take with you?" Joseph asked and Logan laughed out loud. "Seriously? Why are you even asking me that?" He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. "Of course I'm taking my little angel here." I blushed and Kate giggled and rolled her eyes, not being able to keep the sneaky smile off her face. "Obviously."

I pulled apart from Logan for a second. "Hey Kate? Can I... Talk to you in private?" I asked quietly, hoping she'd agree to talk.

She nodded and gave me a knowing look. "Lets go outside." I nodded and rolled my eyes when Logan growled possesively. "Oh give it up Logan, she's your mother." I scowlded him. He sighed and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I'll be back in a minuet." He nodded and kissed my lips quickly. I smiled at him as I followed Kate to the garden.

I looked around and sat down on the soft grass and Kate chuckled. She sat down opposite me and smiled at me. "So, what is it?"

"Um, yesterday Logan told me that I was going into something called heat..." I trailed off and Kate gasped. "Oh god Liz..." I frowned at her. "What... Is heat?" I hesitated. She sighed and wrapped an arm around me, giving me a side-hug.

"Heat is... Heat is when a female werewolf, which in this case is you, has found there mate but hasn't mated with them. And after 2 weeks of not being fully mated, the female werewolf goes into heat. Heat is where your wolf has... Sexual urges towards male wolfs but most of all their mate."

My eyes widened and gasped. No, way. "What?!" I spluttered. She laughed nervously and scratched the back of her neck. "Yeah..."

"So basically I'm going to want to sleep with every male I pass?" Kate nodded and I sighed, resting my head in my hands. "What do I do?"

Kate frowned for a second. "You mean you... Haven't-" She coughed loudly and I shook my head awkwardly. "Uh no." Her mouth formed and 'o' shape. "Oh."

I sighed again. "I'm scared Kate." She smiled sympatheticaly at me and hugged me tightly. "It's okay darling, Logan wont force you into something you don't want to do." I nodded and Kate stood up.

"Oh and one more thing. Guys will be attracted to you 10 times more now your in your heat." She ran off and I gasped and ran after her but she was to fast.

"I'm going to miss you!" Avery yelled, hugging me tightly. "Miss you to!" Ivie joined into our group hug.

"Me too!"

"No Tyler no-!" We landed on the floor in a massive heap, Tyler laying ontop of us, grinning. I groaned loudly. "Tyler!" Logan came running in. "Tyler. What are you doing ontop of my girl?" He demanded and my heart lept when he called me his girl.

Me... Logan's girl.

"Giving her a hug." Ty said in a -duh- voice. He got off me and helped me up. I pulled up Avery and Ivie and gave them one last hug. I grabbed my suitcase and followed Logan to our car. "Got the tickets?" I asked.
