Chapter 9- Operation: Stand up

Nick's POV

So AJ, Brian, Kev, Mallory, her bf Grant, Vanessa and I are supposed to be out for dinner today. Howie and Stacey couldnt join cuz Howie still had to finalize a few documents and Stacey was looking after the kids. 

But I came up with a stellar plan!

We're not gonna show up! Well everyone other than Kev and Vanessa wont. Its perfect They'll have to have dinner together!!! And now Kev *hopefully* cant spill a drink over her, since he'll be sitting across from her! Its perfect..

Kevin's POV

Well, dinner.tonight. Vanessa's invited. Im still nervous. I'll hopefully I die on my way there. 

I went anyways I was late but still and saw Vanessa standing outside, She saw me and walked over to me.. She looked amazing.. 

"Hi Kev!"
"Hi.... You look... stunning"
"Me? I- Hi- I mean! Thanks", She blushed..

Was she blushing, My body got over excited a little...
"So um.. nobody showed up", She said looking around
"What?"
"Yeah, we're the only ones here i guess, that we know"

I knew it, this was the guys plan... I had to make a move
"Well um.. we can, Ahem, maybe if you wanna..Go in?"
"I'd love to Kev", she smiled. 

We walked inside and I held the door for her, I figured it was going well but only because I wasnt talking. I always stuttered when I talked to her...

AJ had the reservation done on his name, so I took his name and we took a seat..

The place a soft candle lit glow to it, in which she looked beautiful, I couldnt help but stare at her...

"This is nice", she says
"Yeah.. it is.", I smiled
"Im sorry the guys didnt show up, you probably have better stuff to do"
"No, I like this...", I cant believe she thinks that
"really?"
"Yeah, You make me h--- ", I stopped as I realized what I was gonna say. Even though I stopped she understood what i meant

Her jaw dropped a bit.
"Oh my God. I- thats not what I-- Im gonna go", I got up and rushed to the restroom.
"Kev wait!"
"Im sorry", I yelled looking back.

I locked myself in the restroom, and I almost cried in there! I couldnt go out again, but if I didnt she'd never talk to me again. Who's to say she will even if I went outside!!

I called Howie up
"Hello?"
"Howie dude I messed up!"
"With what??"
"Vanessa!!! The guys didnt come so its only me and her here!! We were talking and I told her..."
"Told her what?"
"That, my...guy parts get happy around her"

I heard a loud uncontrollable laugh from the other side of the phone call
"this isnt funny!!!"
"dude!!!", he yelled laughing
"Im hanging up"
"Hahahhahahaaa!!!"

I looked at myself in the mirror and cursed at myself for a good 10 minutes before going back outside... I saw walk out infront of me.. 

The things she does sometimes confuse me... I dont know if she loves me or not.. 

I've honestly lost all hope on my chances with her
