Chapter 60: Rusty vs Samael

After the inheritors split up to find the six beasts, Rusty climbs a mountain in order to get to one of them. "Shit!....why I chose this way i'll never know. But this is getting pretty friggin tedious!" Rusty continued his way up until he came across a temple on its peak. Rusty climbed the remaining distance to the peak and reached the grounds of the temple. Rusty grinned, "and we have jackpot" he ran into the temple with Yamagami in hand. He slowly entered the temple to find the ground cracked and webs everywhere. "Ugh. This is an interesting place. Wonder how Lance or Coco is doing in the other temples" Rusty said.  "halt." A giant black spider said as it came down from the ceiling, it had brown markings. Rusty stood back, "woah, you ever heard of spring cleaning?" The spider stared at Rusty, "you are ignorant to this temple. I am Samael, one of the beasts that guard Arcania. Are you the one who wields Yamagami?" Rusty took out Yamagami, "yeah I am, I need you to stop flowing energy. The whole place might be destroyed in war." "As much as I dislike what our ancestor is doing, I cannot betray him." Rusty stopped and looked up. "I am one of Arcania, I cannot go against my lordship. If you wish to stop this. Then have at you!" Samael said as he moved down the web. Rusty took out Yamagami and started to wield it, "you sure?" Samael nodded, "en garde" Samael lunged forward at a web and started to attack Rusty, their fight was perilous and treacherous. Rusty's attacks with Yamagami stood as an equal to Samuel's assault. They were practically in a war of their own as Rusty continuously, used Magnus charge to overpower Samael. "You are a worthy adversary. It seems your determination is strong." Samael said. Rusty looked up and grabbed Yamagami, "i'll take that as a compliment spider." Samael looked towards him, "determination comes from one's desires, its from those desires we act. Thats the determination we feel." Rusty looked down and started to think, "the ability to see my dad back....to be the best mechanic in the world....and her... Those are all filling my determination!" Samael smiled, "a certain girl fills your determination. You found it child. Use that determination and use it with pride!" Rusty held Yamagami and it turned a Bright bronze glow, "alright! Lets go! Coco, your giving me determination. Thanks a lot. Titan of the earth, Yamagami!" Rusty impaled Yamagami into the ground, causing a giant explosion of earth came from under Samael, mortally damaging him. The marks from under samael started to disappear, weakening the ruins Lawrence was in. Samael stood back into stone, "well done child. You are truly an inheritor. One with strength yet dexterity. You are a hero to both of our lands. May the chimes of light guide you." Samael finally stopped moving and turned back into stone. Rusty walked out of the temple and headed back, "thank you Coco. I really mean it, you weren't there but thanks for everything." As he left he was being followed by Gawain. Gawain slowly moved below Arcania to intercept Rusty.
