Chapter 71: no mercy

Lawrence glared towards the inheritor below, in turn he stayed inside excalibur to take control of the core. Yuki stepped forward looking towards the silver archfiend sentinel, "Lawrence. I've finally caught up to you!" Lawrence glared down at Yuki, yet he gave no response. Joshua raised his pistols, "Lawrence, its the end of the line! Call this off!" "My husband...please, its not too late. Step down from excalibur and stop the thousand suns. I'm begging you, the arcane, your own people...don't cause them anymore suffering from this." Edea pleaded to Lawrence. Finally Lawrence stared towards them, "you are far too late girl. I am linked to excalibur, in turn excalibur is linked to the thousand suns. And as for you Edea, i've made my choice. Though you are my wife, this is a path I shall go through whether you accept it or not." "Lawrence..." Edea said sorrowfully. Coco gripped Hanagami in anger, "your own people, and your wife is suffering from this as well...have you no humanity Lawrence?! What are you?!" Lawrence motioned excalibur to slam its sword down, "Silence!" The silver archfiend sentinel thrusted the sword into the ground, leaving the inheritors off balance for a second. Lawrence, controlling excalibur from the inside, motioned its arms in the air, "since you are all ignorant of my power, i'm more than happy to show you here and now." Yuki regained her balance and unsheathed Amaterasu, "don't you dare!" The thousand beacons grew brighter on Arcania, Lawrence slammed his arms down, Excalibur doing the same. And a few beacons launched from arcania, crashing into serenia and causing firey explosions.

"Men, brace yourselves!" A soldier shouted as they ran for cover from the beacons. The fiery explosions gave the upper regions and part of the lower scorching damage. Anthea stared in horror from the damage the beacons have done, "no...this cannot happen..." She then turned to the sky, looking at the capital city. "My people. Lance. They all need me!" She then took control of her carrier and rushed to sector 1's aid, while the soldiers below ran to the sectors that were hit.
-arcania's core-
Lawrence turned himself, motioning Excalibur to do the same, "how many do you think were killed in that? Hundreds? Thousands?" Lance looked in disgust upon observing what Lawrence has done, "that is just inhumane..." Kotoha stood behind Coco, "Coco...i think I saw one go straight for sector 4...you don't think..." Kotoha started to tear up and Coco stayed by her side. Hideki looked back at Edea, "edea i'm afraid we-" before Hideki could finish Edea silently nodded at the inheritors, "do what you must.." Hideki unsheathed Umigami and glared towards Excalibur, "understood." Joshua stood besides Yuki and unsheathed his mechanical pistols, "this has gone far enough huh Yuki?" "Yeah. Theres no more negotiations, lets shut him down!" Yuki replied as she took out Amaterasu, she then activated divine savior. Yuki was glowing vibrantly, she finally opened her eye and raised Amaterasu up, "holy halberd art: raphael's talon!" When the light faded Yuki was completely transformed, combined with divine savior she was transformed with a divine armor on her, the two golden angel wings on her back grew out. Even Amaterasu had an elegant form. She fully opened her eyes and glared at Excalibur, "I'm done with you Lawrence, i'm bringing you down today!" All the inheritors dashed towards the silver archfiend sentinel, Lawrence then proceeded to attack all of them. Excalibur continuously slashed it's sword down to all of them, each of them dodging in their own way. Rusty stayed with coco, "Coco! You still got that thing we planned back in the capital city?" Coco nodded, "all memorized" Rusty smirked and got into position, "Coco let it rip!" Rusty launched himself holding Yamagami, while Coco raised Hanagami, "Rusty get ready! Holy longbow art: eden's garden!" Coco fired streams of green light into the air, empowering herself, Rusty and everyone. "Oh yeah, get a load of this boy! Holy gungnir art: gaia spiral!" A bronze flash spiraled into the tip of Yamagami, Rusty then drilled into Excalibur. In retaliation, Lawrence swatted his hand, motioning Excalibur to swat Rusty away. Rusty landed besides Coco and stood himself up. "You ok?" Coco asked. Rusty shook his head and stretched his neck, "still kicking. But i'm not done yet." Lawrence also went after Kotoha with Excalibur's blade, Kotoha dodged as swiftly as she could. "Faster...i'm gonna be faster!" Kotoha repeated to herself, "her hair slowly turned a bluish white, her movements became faster as a bluish flame surrounded her arms and legs. "Please Tochigami, work with me! We've gone this far. Like Yuki, I can take a step further!" At the right time Kotoha jumped and landed on excalibur's blade, she ran up with blue fire trailing behind her. "Faster...Faster! I can go even faster!" She repeated to herself. Lawrence motioned Excalibur to fire jet black blasts at her, however she dodged them swiftly. "Holy diadem art: godspeed strike!" Kotoha's entire leg was engulfed on blue fire, she ran to mach speeds in blue fire and delivered a devastating fiery strike, she landed back down soon after. Hideki carefully coordinated everyone while giving out damage with Umigami, "no matter how big it is, it cannot strike us down. Everyone, we are at one with the battlefield!" Umigami's axe blade started to glow and Hideki raised it upward, "champion of the sea, Umigami!" The axe blade of umigami was enuglfed in the head of a vicious water dragon, Hideki slashed down on Lawrence, motioning the water dragon to do the same, "though you escaped the dragon's fangs for too long, soon the claws shall catch and rip you apart." Lawrence soon grew slowly enraged with each attack the inheritors pulled off, "ENOUGH. I have had it with this nonsense of you zealots! I shall end this immediately!" Lawrence raised his arms, motioning excalibur to raise it's sword. The beacons on Arcania slowly but surely raised into one massive star, Lawrence intended to launch it at Serenia. Yuki stared at what he was about to do and rose up with the armor from raphael's talon, "Lawrence!" She started to attack furiously though Lawrence did not care to move. While everyone was fighting Excalibur, Joshua stood there and looked towards Excalibur and more so how he's using thousand suns. He looked towards six blue beacons near the top of the core, seemingly connected to the thousand suns. "1...2...3...4...5...6..." Joshua repeated to himself, he counted over and over until finally a silver flash enveloped his eye, his voice merged with Regnas for the time, "I know what to do. Regnas...cecilia...guide me." Joshua shot once at one of the beacons, leaving a silver flash on it, "one..." Lawrence noticed and motioned Excalibur to fire dark blasts at him. Joshua dodged them and shot twice to two more beacons, "two...three..." Joshua kept dodging quickly, he kept his fire focused, "four...five!" He shot two more beacons, leaving silver flashes in them. Finally he withstood dark blasts to launch a final shot, "six!" Joshua fired one more shot onto the blue beacon, "now wings of freedom: nirvana!" Joshua split his arms apart and a massive silver explosion ensued in the top of the core, causing the thousand suns to stay suspended, unresponsive to Lawrence's motions. Lawrence looked up in anger, "no. The thousand suns! It cannot be stopped!" Joshua stood up weakly, "Yuki! Finish it now!" Yuki flew up towards the head of the archfiend sentinel, and with Amaterasu in hand she laid down a vicious strike, the slash was strong enough to separate the thousand suns from Lawrence's control, leaving the massive star airborne above Arcania. "Way to go Yuki!" Coco shouted. Everyone became ecstatic from Yuki's victory. However Joshua looked up in fear, "...no...something isn't right.." Coco looked up to Yuki, she didn't stop after laying the strike. Yuki kept attacking vigorously out of pure anger and hatred, each attack pounded on Excalibur and Lawrence as if numerous swords were piercing him at once. Coco stared in fright, "Yuki...what are you doing?...this isn't you...." She stared in horror knowing that her best friend, was attacking Lawrence out of pure anger.
