Chapter 16: Guinevere

Yuki and Guinevere are currently in their own war as they continue to fight each each other while Coco, Lance, and Rusty took care of the fenrir units. "I never understood you sentinels, why is it your only goal to destroy Serenia?! Why us?!" Yuki said while repeatedly defending against Guinevere's trident. Yuki lunged forward with Amaterasu only to be countered by Guinevere. "You wanna know why? Because it's YOUR home" Guinevere said. Yuki dodged her trident and tried to climb up to her head. Guinevere noticed what Yuki was trying to do. "I won't fall for that again!" Guinevere fired a point-blank energy bullet to Yuki, knocking her back. "Yuki!" Coco shouted as she frantically tried to defeat the sentinels. Lance slashed the sentinels with Kazegami, "there numbers are slowly dropping. Let's keep at it!" A nearby sentinel attacked Rusty. Rusty jumped back from the sentinel, "it's on now jackass! Coco, Lance get back!" Coco and Lance moved away from Rusty. Rusty kept a grin as the sentinels surrounded him, "holy gungnir art: Magnus charge!" Rusty started to emanate a bronze aura and he started to annihilate the sentinels as if they were nothing, "Step right up! Step right up! I'm open to anyone who wants to attack!" Rusty grabbed a hold of one of the sentinels and threw it to Lance, "Lance, here's the pitch!" Lance noticed the sentinel being thrown at him, and he slashed the Fenrir unit in half, "and that's all she wrote." Rusty continuously annihilated the sentinels with Magnus charge and he threw one to coco, "all yours Coco!" Coco felt startled and fired an arrow to the sentinel, killing it in the process, "is it really a good idea to throw sentinels at people?" Rusty looked at Coco, "I don't know, but I gotta have fun with this art you know?" Lance shrugged, "that's Rusty for you." After finishing the sentinels, they aided Yuki against Guinevere. Maxie watched from afar to see the entire battle, "Fantasico! Little coco has improved with her weapon, the inheritors of Kazegami and Yamagami are exceptionally strong. But Yuki, she is at an entirely different level, it's like she has become one with Amaterasu. In such a short time as well!" Guinevere fought off the four inheritors with her trident. "She's strong, but I won't back down against her" Guinevere flew up and rapidly fired multiple energy bullets from her palm, however they dodged the blasts quickly, "you're even more irritating now Shizuku. Stand still, and let my trident do the rest!" Yuki ran up to her and slashed Guinevere with Amaterasu with tremendous force, "I've held a grudge against you ever since you killed joshua. And I won't let you get away with it!" Yuki used her holy art, Raphael's talon and was clothed in a golden armor with wings. "She never had that art when she was in the sector, those weapons are still in their early state. It seems they're intent on unlocking their true potential! I won't stand for that!" Guinevere held up her trident and attempted to kill Yuki. Yuki noticed her attack and she countered with Amaterasu. The force of Yuki's counterattack was so powerful that it knocked Guinevere's trident off her hands. "Damn you!" Guinevere shouted, as she reached for her trident. Yuki walked forward towards Guinevere, "I'll never forgive you goddamn sentinels for what you've done. I will destroy you, then you will know all the pain and suffering you've caused to the people of Serenia!" Yuki and Guinevere continued their showdown and both sides were wounded, Yuki acted both offensively and defensively as she tried to defeat Guinevere, while Guinevere continuously attempted to lacerate Yuki with her trident and she repeatedly fired her orange energy blasts. Finally, Yuki jumped up and pierced Guinevere's shoulder with her trident. "You're really starting to irritate me!" Guinevere fired an point blank energy blast to Yuki, knocking her back. Coco ran to Yuki's aid, while Rusty and Lance moved forward. Rusty's Magnus charge wore off in time for him to use his holy art, "you know, I don't know you but I don't like what you've done to my friends, it's really messed up! So I'm gonna mess you up! Holy gungnir art: stone scabbard!" Lance advanced towards Guinevere, "we won't let you hurt our friends again. Holy katana art: spiral slash!" Both Lance and Rusty advanced towards Guinevere in an attempt to strike her. "Get away from me!" Guinevere shouted. Guinevere shot a massive energy blast at Rusty and Lance, knocking them both back. After that, Guinevere flew to the sky and her orange marks started to release massive energy sparks, "I'm done with you. I'll grind you to dust right here and now!" Guinevere charged a massive energy blast and prepared to fire it. Yuki stood up and gripped Amaterasu, she was injured and blood was coming out of her eye, "I won't let you hurt my friends anymore! Go ahead and fight me!" Yuki wiped the blood away from her eye and she started to emanate massive white aura. Coco started to emanate a green aura as she readied to fire Hanagami, Lance emanated a purple aura as he prepared to attack with Kazegami, and Rusty emanated a Bronze aura as he prepared to attack with Yamagami. Maxis slowly clapped his hands while spectating the entire fight from afar, "fantastico, fantastico! Their powers are glorious beyond compare! It's beautiful! But, I don't want them to throw their backs out fighting that giant jet black abomination, I might as well assist them in this endeavor. after all, they've suffered enough in this fight." Maxis reached out and unsheathed his long sword, "I feel like it's been a millennia since I last used this weapon, let's see if I still got it." Maxis put his thumb on the side of his blade and slowly slid across with his thumb, "Pesci, Cancro, Aquario!" Maxis's long sword started to glow a blinding light and maxis held his sword up high, "divine torrent..." Before maxis was about to initiate his attack Guinevere witness what he was about to do. "What? Do they have more allies? In this state I might not be able to take them at once, I need to retreat and think of a strategy" Guinevere thought, "my time here is up." Guinevere revealed her turbine and slowly flew into the sky. Yuki chased after her and tried to land another blow, "I won't let you escape!" Guinevere fired an energy blast and knocked her back. Yuki lost her armor from Raphael's talon upon being hit. "I will admit, you've become strong Yuki. However, we are always an infinite amount of steps ahead of you. Mark my words, we'll meet again and when we do I will put you out of your misery!" Guinevere retreated and flew back to Arcania. Yuki clenched her fist upon her retreat, "damn it, I won't let her escape next time." Lance sheathed Kazegami, "we were lucky for that, we needed the rest from those sentinels. But what made Guinevere get the idea of escaping us so quickly?" Rusty knocked Lance's back, "does it matter? She's out of our hair at least. Let's get back to the trifecta before more sentinels attack." Yuki sheathed Amaterasu and returned to the trifecta, "alright, sector 5 is just up ahead. Let's keep going." The trifecta ventured out of the marsh and it continued to sector 5. Maxis sheathed his sword upon Guinevere's retreat, "aww, I didn't get to use Leonidas after all. They're all strong but they're two more inheritors left in Serenia, I wish them the best of luck in finding them." Ritchie flew back on Maxis' shoulder and Maxis walked back to sector 7, "come mi bambino mio. I must tend to my own projects at the moment. Hideki...what has become of you I wonder." After driving, the trifecta stopped towards a deserted beach. Yuki looked at the Trifecta's radar, "this is sector 5? We went to the exact coordinates." Rusty got out of the trifecta and put his knees to the sand, "THERE'S NOTHING AT ALL!" Coco looked around, "maybe there's more to this sector than we know? The town might be somewhere around here right?" "Right. Let's look. Around to see if we can find anything about the sector at least" Yuki said as she looked around the beach.
