Meanwhile, the Buttercups had gathered enough Star-Stones.
"Alright, are we ready to go?" Helen asked.
"Yes!" the Buttercups chorused.
But then Sofia realized that someone was missing.
"Where's Hugo?" Sofia gasped.
"Probably still looking for that Swamp Dragon," Meg said.
Sofia was stunned by Meg's statement. "Meg, dragons don't really live in swamps," she said. "Where did you get that idea?"
Ruby and Jade were hoping Meg wouldn't say that they lied to Hugo about the Swamp Dragon, but Meg blurted out, "I heard Ruby and Jade tell Prince Hugo about it."
Sofia angrily turned to Jade and Ruby.
"You told Hugo there was a Swamp Dragon and let him wander into the woods?" Sofia glared. "We need to find him before he falls in the swamp!"
"Ruby, Jade, we can talk about this later," Helen frowned. "Right now we need to find Prince Hugo."
"Where could he be?" Peg asked.
Suddenly, the troop heard the sound a whistle blowing, and they all knew what that meant.
"Hugo must be in trouble," Sofia said. She angrily turned to Ruby and Jade and told them, "You can stay here if you want to, but I'm going to save my best friend."
"We're coming too," Meg said.
Sofia, Helen, and the twins followed the sound of Hugo's whistle. Ruby and Jade knew they were in a lot of trouble and Hugo was going to be angry at them for lying to him. They decided they should make up for lying to Hugo by helping him.
Sofia stopped by the edge of a bog and saw Hugo. "I found him," she called. "He's stuck in the..." But then she slipped and fell in the bog.
"Are you okay, Sofia?" Hugo asked.
"I'm fine," Sofia replied. "Are you?"
"Fine, and I think the mud made my foot stop itching," Hugo replied.
The other Buttercups saw Sofia and Hugo in the bog.
"Are you okay?" Helen called.
"We're fine," Sofia and Hugo called.
Helen turned to the other Buttercups and said, "Alright, Buttercups, we need some rope to pull out Sofia and Prince Hugo."
The Buttercups reached into their backpacks and pulled out some rope and tied their ropes together.
Once the super long rope was ready, the Buttercups threw the rope down the bog.
"Hang onto the rope, and we'll pull you out," Peg instructed. Sofia and Hugo both hung onto the rope, and as they climbed, the other Buttercups pulled them up. In no time, Sofia and Hugo were out of the bog—and really dirty.
Now that Sofia and Hugo were out of the bog, Ruby and Jade knew they owed him an apology, and they confessed that they were responsible for the nasty pranks that happened to him yesterday.
"We're really sorry, Prince Hugo," Ruby and Jade both said together.
Hugo was unhappy with what Ruby and Jade did, but he knew he shouldn't be angry any longer.
"Well, it could be worse," Hugo said. "At least you didn't make me fall in the swamp."
Ruby and Jade were happy that Hugo was no longer angry, and Sofia was happy that Hugo didn't fall in the swamp.
"Alright, are we ready to go?" Helen asked.
"Ready!" Hugo and the girls chorused.
"Let's move out," Helen said.
As Hugo and theButtercups started walking, the Buttercups cheered, "Buttercups! Buttercups! We will roam! Buttercups! Buttercups! Heading home!"
