The very next day, Hugo and the Buttercups were on their way to Swamp Rock Hill.

"I really can't wait to look for Star-Stones," Sofia said.

"Me neither, and once I collect enough, I'll be able to make a tiara for my mother," Hugo smiled.

"I'm sure she'd love a glow-in-the-dark tiara," Sofia smiled.

"Yeah, but I just hope we find those Star-Stones soon before I fall in this stinky swamp," Hugo fretted.

"Don't worryyou're safe with us," Sofia assured him, taking him by the arm.

Ruby and Jade were jealous when they saw how happy Sofia was to protect Hugo.

Pretty soon, Hugo and the troop had reached Swamp Hill Rock. Everyone searched the rocks for Star-Stones. As Hugo turned over a giant rock, he had found a lot of Star-Stones.

"Here they are," Hugo called

The girls ran over and put the Star-Stones in their backpacks.

"You sure have sharp eyes, Prince Hugo," Helen remarked.

"Thank you, Mrs. Hanshaw," Hugo blushed.

Ruby and Jade just couldn't take it anymore. They wished Sofia and Helen would stop being so nice to Hugo and helping him a lot. They both had a very nasty idea to get him out of the way.

"Prince Hugo, did you know that Swamp Rock Hill is home to the legendary Swamp Dragon?" Jade smirked.

Hugo was stunned by this statement. "A dragon living in a swamp?" he blanched.

"Yeah, I think he's over there," Ruby said.

Hugo turned to see if there was a dragon. "I don't see any dragons," he declared.

"That's because he's camouflaged," Jade protested. "Go ahead and see if you can find the Swamp Dragon."

Hugo highly doubted there was a Swamp Dragon, but then he said, "Okay, if you say so."

Once his backpack had enough Star-Stones, Hugo went to see if there really was a Swamp Dragon. He walked deep into the woods and saw nothing but trees and mud.

"Why would Ruby and Jade tell me if there was a Swamp...?" Hugo asked himself.

But then Hugo slipped in a mud puddle and fell down into a bog. Now he knew why Ruby and Jade told him there was a Swamp Dragon. "Well, that certainly answers my question," he huffed.

Hugo had to admit that he was happy to have fallen into a muddy bog because it was better than falling in the swamp. Hugo tried to climb up out of the bog, but it was so muddy and slippery that he slid back down. It was much too slippery to climb out, so Hugo had no choice but to blow on his trouble-whistle.
